Re: Could Jesus have been married?

Well as the only priest on fg, I must tell you, you will all go to hell next to muslim fanatical and unwed mothers okkkkkk

seriously, it would possible, the bible, torah qu'ran are all books, and books are written by men, and men are less than perfect.

as for the bible, it is a reader digest of selections of text that the church selected and 'approved'
this bible is approved by Pope XXXXXXX td. So go figure.........
three doodoo is back! Hide your women!

The fundamental message you believe was authored, translated and compiled by men the same men you doubt.

Sticking to the New Age comparison above, one thousand years in the future, a future dave150 would be stating how he doesn't believe the accepted dogmatic doctrine on a particular character trait of the Pleiadians because he doesn't trust the authors that wrote about them but for some reason he never questions the premise of the existence of the Pleiadians, which he also learned from the same authors he doubts when it comes to describing the character of the Pleiadians.

      You see my Pleiadian brother.

G o d gives us unlimited will. We have the will to do anything, that includes believing or not believing. If you believe that man screwed up what G o d intended in the Bible then you are free to do that. Remember the old testament is pretty much the same in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. I think the class I took on Islam said the prophet Muhammad saw Abraham, Moses and Jesus sitting at a table together. The main thing that really separates the three main religions is how they perceive Jesus.

(first of all, you aint gotta stoop to name calling!! your the pleiadian!!!) i do see your point, but your OVER THINKING again ( we need to work on that)!!! dont take shyt too far to the rediculus. (i bet you tried for years to divide 100 by 3 evenly!, didnt cha, c'mon...you can tell your buddy dave, lol) i do believe he died on the cross...it was written by more than just 1 guy. the individuals expeirences that are relayed i think could be embellished. not that i think it's an out and out fairytale....it helps that i know the man (g od) is real and you dont realize it yet (you will...that'll be the day i'm getting you your pass. dont forget the hat!!). jesus was real...he did some carpentry, he may or may not have been tagging mary (dont see why it's a big deal), he tried to get people to chill out, relax, and be cool to eachother, he died on the cross, guy's wrote THEIR versions of what was happening and what it meant, and people have been talking and debating it for thousand's of years....that about sums up the way i see it.

I THINK I HEARD THAT IN A JOKE!! LOL i'm not trying to knock ya...just sounded like the begining of a joke.
i'm not debating if there was or wasnt a jesus..."the old testament is pretty much the same in Christianity, Islam and Judaism."...pretty much? they dont all agree? there's differences in the way it's told or specific actions that was done?
thats my point...i believe things happened. i believe in god, jesus, mary, the whole bit. i doubt anyone got it word for word. i think man has a tedency to fuk things up. embelish a little. paul mighta wanted people to think him and J.C. was actually tighter than they were. john mighta wanted you to think he was more important than he was. ringo mighta wanted you to think....wait...wrong band. i dont think when i see J.C. he's gonna be all like, "yea...the bible? word for word, thats the way it all went down...yea..exactly like that...weird huh?"....

so what are you saying? islamist fuk up their version, the jews, the christians?...they are not word for word so someone fuked up!
i think they ALL fuked up a part or 3 or 12...i dont think man can write word for word, blow for blow, for, how many pages? thousands?, and not fuk it up. not possible.

Over-thinking? How are you defining that; anyone that has logical justifications for beliefs that are in disagreement with your own? It is ironic that you (someone that believes in miracles, the supernatural and a god) telling someone that consciously guides his life with reason not to take shyt to far - to the rediculus.

uggg...now i gotta define overthinking...i dont know how to explain it to ya bro...i was trying to convey my point...how about another analogy that you can shred...
ya ever watch a movie that says "based on actual events"?...you dont take it word for word do ya? i meen, the event happened, but no-one's left alive to say butch and sundance actually said this or that at that moment...thats how i veiw the bible. now, do you get it? now can you see how i can say i believe jesus died on the cross, but i dont believe everything that the bible says? it (the bible) was based on actual events...how loosly based, i dont know...his name coulda been bob for all i know.

oh...and yea...anyone who has logical belief's other than MY own is, clearly, over thinking...smartass lol

LOL! I don't mean to shred your analogies but there are obvious perforation lines in them.

...but to pull at the perforations a little. When you see a movie that is based on actual events. You have a suspicion of scenes that have been exaggerated or even made up. For example if Butch and sundance are in a fire fight with one hundred men in their opposition - you know that is probably an exaggeration. If butch and sundance escape a particular scene by walking on water, turn water into wine or have an all you can eat buffet with two fish and loaf of bred - you know we are leaving the realm of reality.

dude...the the way i see it...walked on water or floated on water shoes, turned water to wine or mearly used a diff. piture, made excellent use of available food to feed many, or not...the over all message is the same. the paticulars i'm not intrested in. do i believe in supernatural shyt, yea...i believe there's something to ghost and what not...aliens? very possible. demons or negative energy? yep..and jesus...bro...he may just have walked on water. i woulld actually believe that he turned water to wine, then to believe he DIDNT tag mary...he was still a dude and the catholic church's got that thing about "being married" before sex, sooo, not surprising they wanted to leave some info out! seems to me that you take the bible pretty literaly...

oh...and it was pretty miracelus how butch and sundance evaded all those bullet's the first time they were pinned down huh?...some would say it was a miracle

These instances that you are notching up as "particulars" (implying trivial) are fundamental for the over all message. It is those particulars that set him apart from other wannabe messiahs. David Koresh was a messiah remember, he just didn't have the luck to be born of a virgin, be able to walk on water or turn water to wine and he lusted after the females. So see take the particulars away and he's just another loon that has followers.

guessing you missed this?...i do believe he did those things. i trivialized them, in our conversation, becouse that's not the message. my point always was that man wrote the book and easily coulda left the getting laid part out. am i wrong that they coulda left that out? do i think part coulda been, and probobly were, embelished? yep...probobly...but that dont mean i dont think he was a badass dude!!
when i say, i'm not intrested in the paticulars....i'm not trying to trivialize them, i'm just stating that those things dont change the message and for this convo., they dont change the possibility that the authors of the bible left his and mary's relationship depth out of the story

I feel what you are saying. You don't trust that the men wrote everything accordingly. I feel you 100% on that. That is where faith comes in. You have to have faith that what G O D inspired the authors to write and what the powers that be chose to put into the bible is what G O D intended for us to know. Muslims have to have faith that Allah inspired Muhammad to write everything in the Qu'ran accordingly. Jews have to have faith that what is in the Tanakh was inspired to the men of the Great Assembly through Yaweh. It boils down to faith. It's like those new GPS gizmos everyone uses for direction now days. When going somewhere you never went before you have to have faith that the device is going to lead you in the right direction.

thats what i'm saying...it's probobly THE ONLY issue that i'm not 100% black and white on...there's alot of gray, so i read between the lines and choose what i believe the over all message is. i'm not, BY ANY MEANS, as learned as klash, or many other dudes here, in the bible. i did church, catholic school and decided that a structured religion aint really for me. i have my own thaughts and belief's that are bible based, but i dont know it front to back and side to side. and, i think g od's fine with that! i'll let these other dudes argue over the finer points. i still dont see whats wrong with jc getting sum.

It's cool to have your own views on it. I'm part of an organized religion. I went to a Catholic elementary school, attended and got baptized in a Pentecostal church and now attend a Baptist church. I've even dated two Muslim girls before. I mix all religions/denominations together in my personal views. I take what is good out of each and apply them to my own life. No one can tell you, you are right or wrong.

I guess since I started this long thread, I'll say, that the only known proven thing that was written by G0d Himself was the 10 commandments. And since G0d wrote them himself, those are LAW. And I've always believed, if you live your life according to the 10 commandments, you'll be fine.
Yes, the BIBLE says that Homosexuality is wrong. Again, what did we decide? The Bible is an unauthorized autobiography of Jesus. Just because someone wrote it in the Bible, doesn't mean Jesus said it. Someone said it for him. So That's why I don't judge homosexuals, and feel if 2 men or 2 women want to get married or date, good for them. I'm actually happy for them. All the 10 commandments say is "Thou shall not committ adultery." It doesnt specify 2 men or 2 women. It also says "Don't take the Lord's name in Vein". That's why, you'll never hear me EVER say G** **** it, or any other blasphemus words against Jesus. You want to drop an F Bomb, say shlt, piss, co*k, pu$$y, whatever. Those were words deemed unnaceptable by PEOPLE, not G0d himself. Have a field day. Just don't use the Lords name in vein near me, or I will say tell people that offends me. Doesn't matter if I know them or not. And as far as married guys and girls having some extra cirricular side activities, you know what you're doing is a direct violation for what G0d said. But thats their "Cross to bear". So to speak.
