ever since that child molesting sh it went down with all those priests, its hard to look at priests the same way ...makes you wonder how normal anyone could be if they vow to be celibate/asexual for life...that in itself is bizarre and unnatural...maybe they are all a bunch of closet homos and perverts? How could anyone live like that unless they were Jesus? Why would anyone want to unless they were a little goofy?Im sure there are some good priests, but that cra p really turned peeps off to catholicism.
i agree...they dont HAVE to live like that...that's just how they are told too. i dont believe that priest need to be celebate or single. i dont think Jesus lived like that either...i never did get the point of the whole celebacy thing!! it's bullshyt...un-natural
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
HUH...WELL...DOSNT SOUND ALL G O D LIKE AND SHYT, BUT OK
Yeah, just yankin yer chain a little there since DJ hasn't been around much to do it, lol! Actually my feelings on G0D are very close to yours. I don't see him as this uptight spoiled celestial being that is always angry with you unless you lead a perfect life. I know lots of people that claim if you don't believe this or that you're goin to hell or if you drink or smoke or get all inked up you'll be punished and all that nonsense. I just don't see him that way. That would, IMO, make him imperfect in justice and love.
i do believe he's the son of god. i believe he did die on the cross for our sins (which was pretty cool of him). but, i dont believe you have to believe that to go to heaven. we're like gods kids right? thats what they say...we're gonna fuk up. we're gonna believe, not believe, whatever, so he's pretty flexable in that regard. hell's for the REAL fuk up's...the one's we all want to kill. the child molesters, mass murderer's, the REAL scumbags....hell's god's little way of saying..."i got this!!!"
yea...you'll like my g o d...he's a good dude. not big in the smiting dept., though he will bust your ass if he has too to prove a point. just has more of that "be cool to eachother" attitude....dont worry bro...i still got ya covered. you'll meet him!
So your god grades on deeds not faith?
...and he died on the cross for everyone, whether people believe it or not? Murderers and child molesters are going to hell whether they ask for forgiveness or not?

I've read on him; interesting guy.
deeds are big in g o d's world bro. it's not the end all be all, but it's part of the grading. faith alone will not get the job done either, and lack of faith aint an instant flunk out...it's your overall package...and yep, he died for everyone...believer or not, dont matter...matter of fact, it was probobly more for you non believers than it was for the believers!! (you aint gotta thank him....yet)
asking for forgivness aint like getting an automatic immunity!!! in my opinion, what's done, on that level, is done...ask all you want, your toast. but..i dont know this to be fact...there could be some leway, somehow, but it'd half to be some kinda special circumstance and i couldnt give you an example.+
but, to tell you the truth....i dont think you even got's to believe in him to get in. he'll know if your deserving or not (and you got an "in" anyway)
ya know, i'm starting to get the idea that your all fuked up on the G o d thing klash...you may have studied the subject TOO much!!! ya know, it's possible to fuk up even the fastest, best computer! information overload mighta got ya...i dont know...i'll try to help ya sort it out bro. i'm here for ya

OK! Getting back on track......... It does make you think hopefully. The New Testament is 27 books out of ????? Who knows how many. Quite possibly, there were 400 books found. Out of those 400 books, The Catholic church seen fit to put 27 books in the Bible. What did the other Books say? Did one book hold the true answer as to whether Jesus was married?? Book of Mary Magdeline says "Jesus kissed Mary Magdeline on XXXXXXXXXX And of course, that piece of the writing has faded away from the paper.
And again, the only reason we all have our existing religious beliefs is because of what is written in the Bible! If it was written in the Bible that Jesus was hanged from a tree with a noose, we would all have nooses hanging in our living room instead of crucifixes. Peter denied Christ 3 times. Yet, he still has a chapter! I'm not joking or making fun, but I'm being serious! Our teachings in school are all based on what is written in the Bible. Written by people, Not Jesus himself. So the Bible is kind of an "Unauthorized Autobiography" on the life of Jesus.

"Luke chapter 8, tells us that Mary was one of Jesus' followers and travelled with him."
"But the Bible isn't the only source. In 1945, at Nag Hammadi in southern Egypt, two men came across a sealed ceramic jar. Inside, they discovered a hoard of ancient papyrus books. Although they never received as much public attention as the Dead Sea Scrolls, these actually turn out to be much more important for writing the history of early Christianity. They are a cache of Christian texts. The Nag Hammadi texts tell us about early Christians. They were written in Coptic, the language of early Christian Egypt. As most ancient Christian texts have been lost, this discovery was exceptional. The discovery includes the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip and the Acts of Peter. None of these texts were included in the Bible, because the content didn't conform to Christian doctrine, and they're referred to as apocryphal. They tend to concentrate on things that one doesn't read about in the Bible. For example, New Testament gospels says after the resurrection Jesus spent some time talking with the disciples, but you don't learn much about what he said. In the gospels of Nag Hammadi you can read what he said.
Although they're not Biblical texts, experts still believe that they give us significant insights into Christian history. In these apocryphal texts we might have genuine traditions about Jesus that for one reason or another didn't make it into the New Testament.
For the first time in hundreds of years there was a new source of information about Mary Magdalene. She appears very frequently as one of the prominent disciples of Jesus. In certain texts where Jesus is in discussion with his disciples, Mary Magdalene asks many informed questions. Whereas the other disciples at times seem confused, she is the one who understands.
One of the documents discovered at Nag Hammadi is the Gospel of Philip, in which Mary Magdalene is a key figure. It has been the cause of one of the most controversial claims ever made about her.
During their long burial in the desert, some of the books were attacked by ants. In this Gospel, the ants made a hole in a very crucial place.
The text says:
And the companion of the [...] Mary Magdalene. [...] loved her more than all the disciples, and used to kiss her often on her [...]. The rest of the disciples [...]. They said to him "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you like her? When a blind man and one who sees are both together in darkness, they are no different from one another. When the light comes, then he who sees will see the light, and he who is blind will remain in darkness."
The 'lacuna', or gap, which hides where Jesus kissed Mary has tantalised scholars for decades."

I just searched the Hammadi texts (Gnostic Gospels) online and found three different sources that list an alphabetical index of all the books. None of the sources listed a book about Mary Magdalene. Please post the link where you found it. I want to ask my pastor about it. Also within those books found they also found Plato's Republic. To me just from a brief review of those websites it seems as those "Gnostic Gospels" were written by observers and not actually who the title is named after. I can see why they were left out. They don't seem inspired by G o d. It's just a brief overview, I will have to take time and study it some more.
Just go to Google and search for "Gospel of Mary Magdeline". There's a million sights. But here is a good one, with many links at the bottom of the page
