    When do you think...

    The USA should step up and do something about what is going on in Africa. I have watched a few programs on what goes on there and its really disturbing. Genocide is happening and the only thing we do is send food which a lot of the time doesnt get to the people its intended for. We take a political stance on that letting the UN deal with the problems but they arent getting any where it seems. With us going into Iraq does it make sense that we stand back from these thing that go on in africa in places like Dufar where millions of people have died...

    I personlly think that places like Dufar need our help more then iraq, crimes against humanity happen every day yet we never hear about it in the news and it hardly makes the papers

    THE USA CANT BE EVERYWHERE SO ITS A HARD DECISION. THE UN SHOULD BE DOING MORE. BUT ITS JUST LIKE IRAQ DO YOU THINK THAT THE GENACIDE WILL EVER STOP SINCE ITS BEEN GOING ON FOR YRS AND YRS.WHO'S TO SAY WHATS WORSE. AND I TOTALY AGREE THAT THE US SHOULD WIPE OUT THOSE PEOPLE OVER THERE KILLING ALL THE TRIBES AND AFRICANS BUT ITS ALWAYS GOING TO BE THE SAME UNTIL WE DIE MERC. KILLING IS ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN. IRAQ'S ARE STILL GOING TO BLOW THEM SELVES UP. THE MIDDLE EAST WONT CHANGE ISREAL WONT GIVE UP WHATS THERES TO THE PALASTINES.SO JUST LIKE THE SOAP OPERA

        WHY SHOULD THE U.S. BE THE WORLDS BODY GUARD? HOW MANY ARE COMING OVER HERE TO HELP WITH THINGS? NONE OF THEM. ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM

          USA should focus more on helping people that really need help like you said, Africa. But hey our president likes more Oil than anything else.

            It does suck to have an idea of what goes on in the world and not do anything about it, but we can't police the whole world like that. It's one thing when you have an area like the middle east that has mountains of money and although tribal in many ways, they have advanced to where they can really black an eye, such as they have a few times with no response from us until G.W.'s watch. And, we didn't go in there solely on their crimes against their own, but because of their crimes against us and because they have become developed enough to really cause harm to us. And they hate us and see us as satan. Their main concern was to wipe us out. It's good to let people evolve on their own. Though kinda difficult when you're in a country that's light years ahead of those places and much more ethical, that's just the way it is. Plus think about our own people that can't even grasp the concept of what's going on now. They'd have a shyt fit if we started dealing with those other country's problems. We got enough problems to iron out right here in America and can use all those billions right here as well. Now once they effect us, I say fuk 'em. It should be lights out right outa the gate.

              Perfect example...What would be the first thing people would start crying if we went into Africa. 'Diamonds...we got oil covered. Now we're locking down the diamond wealthy countries.' They would scoff at the fact that we're helping humanity again, as my man deno here. It'd be, "humanity??..please...and our humanity measures just happen to be taking place in the land of diamonds."

                  As long as these various cultures ideas remain the same these atrocities will never end. Even sending troops to try and stop such occurrances is only a temporary measure that does little in the long run. So there are only two ways I see that would actually have results 1, complete control and re-education (impossible and immorral) or 2 wipe them all out (then we are just as bad as they are). There is no solution to ethinic problems as long as people remain uneducated and ethnocentric. It is a sad thing that I cannot ever see ending!

                    i agree it is horrible, i'm with fuzo on this, it is just impossible for us in many ways

                    it is the reason why the un was set up

                    africa is the last continent that is coming into it's own, it is the most complex continent in history and violence

                    we need to export more capitlism, i always say rather than dropping bombs, drop money and cell phones and books, folks will do the right thing
