      I'm running XP but I like Vista. I've ran across some Vista haters too for whatever reason. It was an I.T. guru also. He owns a computer tech company here in town. He did my last hard-drive swap. He just said he likes XP better because he's used to it. I think Vista is sweet though.

        My stepdaughter (damn, that sounds wired... it's first time I've called her that...lol) has Vista on her computer. I think it runs really slow. Other than that, I don't have any experience with it.

          yeah, you need some umph for vista. Vista needs elbow room or you may notice slower operating speeds.

                    I installed it on one of my computers and had it off within 2 hours and was back to XP. It did not reconize a bunch of my devices like my soundcard, so to use it I would have had to by a bunch of new components, I will wait till it is working well then re-install it. Any new program has issues, XP was like this when it first came out.

                        i hate vista.... its really slow, if you can find a copy of xp... you will be amazed how fast your computer really is.

                          Linux > WINDOWS XP, VISTA 98, 95, 91, 89, ETC

                          Well, what I said above is true but I'd prefer XP over VISTA mainly because VISTA tends to crash a lot and number of people have been complaining.
