It's always cool when you get a new mod to see just how much it helped. I noticed you're a Chevy guy but you now have some blue oval blood in you.lol Be careful...that those things are known to convert bowties to true blue ovals. Congrats on the car though. She's a beaut. One of the first things you need are subframes and a sport-bar to stiffen her up. Those verts flex a good bit more of coarse, but they're the best on a rag top day. Great Mustang bro! I look forward to seeing some time slips.

Yeah I've raced bradenton a few times. I do like that track. I got good at that track with my truck and pulled a 0.00 RT. It's funny cause I was showing people my RT on my slip so I think they got a little intimidated, because cars that should've destroyed me I would beat (Like built 69 SS camaro's, Mustangs etc.). When I asked the drivers what they did differently, they said they watched when I went to try and pull the same numbers. Dumbazzes! They don't realize that if I start to move and they hit the pedal, by the time they start moving I'll already have a good 1-2 cars on them before they leave the line.

I know if those cars had good drivers they would've had 10 cars on me by the end!

I used to be somewhat of a blue oval guy. I had a built Focus ZX3 about 4 years ago. I just can't stand Ford trucks. I think they look like boxes, and without their supercharger, Chevy trucks walk on them. As for the Mustang I've always been a fan. Great cars, and don't require a mullet to drive them like camaro's (btw, if there's any camaro drivers take no offense I used to have an IROC Z with a mullet, so I can say that )

I think I will be tightening up the suspension a bit. She's going into the shop on the 11th of next month because the throwout bearing is squeaking super loud. I'm going to have them put a spec stage 1 cluthc, and a spec billet aluminum flywheel in there. I can't wait to see how much better it revs.

I think your right though. I'm in love with my Mustag more than any other vehicle I've owned (and I've owned 14). I've been bitten by the Mustang bug!

nice ride man. those are very good cars too, he had 2 actually, an '99 LX and the '01 cobra, never had a problem EVER with either one.
Me too! I've not a huge fan of the new body style, unless it has a full body kit on it.

Yeah Cobra's are really fast, and have a way better motor than the GT's. Especially the 03-04 Cobras. Those suckers have a superior motor + a supercharger. Their not nicknamed the Terminators for nothing!

          Thanks for the compliment bro!

Re: Got a new car...Daved will laugh!

I've converted a few chevy guys...but it was probably the Mustangs that they bought that converted them. Once you own a stang it's like an addiction. You can beat the hell out of it and it just begs for more. Nothing responds to inexpensive, simple bolt ons like a Mustang either. Once you pull a few bowties that just swear they have more power and shoulda won you'll be pumpin that blue oval blood.

It is amazing some of the idiots that show up at test and tune night...going on you, lmao...that's what I told my friend in his hot new chevy truck after he got his programmer. "just go" then I pulled past him as my slow Ford truck churped into 2nd...you know you been had when somebody does ya like that. I know what ya mean though. I had a 2004 Chevy reg cab company truck. It had the 5.3 which is reffered to as the 327...pretty quick truck. Ford trucks same as Mustangs are geared horribly from factory. Once you match the gearing with the competition...bye bye. and it's been proven over and over that Ford vehicles respond better to mods than chevy & dodge. Speed just did a show on the trucks, well several months ago, with air filters and higher octane fuel. The Ford 5.4 benefitted an amazing 9hp from 93 octane while the others had no benefit what-so-ever. It also benefitted most from getting more air.

Before you do anything, make some passes and see what kind of times you can get out of her. It's always cool to see how much you actually gain, and compare to others and magazines and what you hear people say. All the bullshyt goes out the window on the track and they love this dense Florida air. It's about to get right in the evenings too when it starts to cool off a bit and the track surface stays a little warm from the day...perfect. You'll be true blue with a quickness

oh and that vert needs subframes bad. Look under it and see if the guy before put subframe connectors on it. I'm sure he did before anything with it being a vert...if not, that's the first thing you need more than anything.

too bad indeed...you're way down the road from us FL folk. I would like to see what my big slow truck would lay down in the quarter. I'd be proud if I got into the 15s...hell, it might surprise me. That's all I got right now though, but everything I own I tinker with, and there's always somebody for everybody to run with. I'd be copping another quarter horse quick if I had a track down the street form me.

Ya'll have a blast. Those LS1s are strong.

it runs OK traction is an issue without the DRs. my boy has an LS2 in a trailblazer SS with a magna charger on it. he is pushing nearly 500hp to the wheels. i would be lucky to hit 400 at the flywheel
