Ok so my lawsuit finally finished so I traded in my truck and got myself a 2003 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5spd. She's Silver with a black top with a black leather interior and 17" Bullitt wheels. Extremely fast car!

The guy that had it before me modded it nicely...Borla exhaust, BBK CAI, Strut bar, Drop Springs etc etc....

So I figured Daved would get a kick out of that since I was always a Chevy guy, and he was always the Ford guy. HAHA!

Thanks guys. Yeah the closest track is Sunshine which is a 1/8 mile track, and about an hour farther south is Bradenton which is a 1/4 mile track. I plan on taking her within the next month or two.

go to the 1/8 mile track and practice your launches and shifting (is it a manual or auto) then go to the 1/4

what are ya thinking she will run in the 1/8th? somwhere in the mid to low 9s?

with traction (DRs) maybe high 8s.

i have been going regularly to our 1/8 mile track here. since my first time i have dropped my ET by 7/10 second added headers, cai and tune (maybe .5 second there) the rest was me getting better as a driver

i am going out the last friday of the month and doing test n tune

cool car you will have a blast. and a convertable to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what future mods are you looking at? headers and a tune will be amazing

I hear Bradenton is a good track. A friend of mine lives in Tampa that's ran on it a few times. You will have a blast. That is the most fun I've ever had, taking my stangs to the test & tune days. I would try to go every week. And like jipped genes said, you'll get better as a driver every pass. It's always cool when you get a new mod to see just how much it helped. I noticed you're a Chevy guy but you now have some blue oval blood in you.lol Be careful...that those things are known to convert bowties to true blue ovals. Congrats on the car though. She's a beaut. One of the first things you need are subframes and a sport-bar to stiffen her up. Those verts flex a good bit more of coarse, but they're the best on a rag top day. Great Mustang bro! I look forward to seeing some time slips.

i love those body styles MUCH MUCH better than the newer ones. my buddy had an '01 cobra, triple black...now THAT was fast.

nice ride man. those are very good cars too, he had 2 actually, an '99 LX and the '01 cobra, never had a problem EVER with either one.
