    IS THIS FOR REAL OR AM I BEING RAPED

    OK.. I NEED YOU NOW CAR EXPERTS... 4 DAYS AGO MY CAR WOULDN'T TURN ON AT ALL..NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER.. SO I HAD A BUDDY OF MINE..JUMP STARTED THE CAR... AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE EXCEPT SOME FUNNY "VINEGAR ODOR LIKE" INSIDE THE CAR.. I TRIED TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE..I PULL OUT THE KEY..AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING... SO ITS OBVIOUS SOMETHING WAS WRONG.. ALSO B4 THAT..I HAD A WIPER PROBLEM..THEY WOULD GO ON..AND ON...AND YOU COULDN'T TURN THEM OFF.. THEY STOP ON THEIR OWN..IN MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD..SO THE WIPER MOTOR MOST LIKELY IS GONE..

    SO I TAKE THE CAR TO AUDI SERVICE "IRA AUDI" AND THEY DID A CHECKUP... GUESS THAT..THEY WANT $2000 FOR THE PHUCKING FIX... R U KIDDING ME...

    THEY TOLD ME.. THE IGNITION SWITCH IS BAD... THE AC HEAD UNIT CONTROL WAS BAD AND THE WIPER MOTOR WAS BAD.. SO $2000 FOR THOSE 3 THINGS ????? IGNITION SWITCH BEING BAD...FINE...WIPER MOTOR BEING BAD FINE...BUT THAT CONTROL UNIT.. WAS CAUSING THE ODOR AND MESSED UP SOME WIRES..CAUSING THEM TO BURN..WHEN I ASKED WHY ? HE SAID LOOKS LIKE A COFFEE SPILL...?? ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO I GOT A COFFEE FROM D&D AND THE CUP WAS FULL..I PLACED IT IN THE CUP HOLDER...AND WAS DRIVING OVER SOME BUMPS..CAUSING LIKE A DROPS OR TWO TO GO IN BETWEEN THE BUTTON WHERE I TURN OFF AND ON THE A/C.. AND I HAD THE PROBLEM TURNING IT OFF..OR ON..IF I SHUT IT OFF..I WILL HAVE A PROBLME PUTTIN IT BACK ON.,...BECAUSE ITS BEEN WARM WEATHER AND BECAUSE OF THAT COFFEE DROP...IT GETS STUCK..I HAVE TO USE A SHARP KNIFE TO PULL THE BUTTON OUT.. ANYWAYS SO HE TELLS ME A COFFEE SPILL CAUSED WIRES TO BE BURNING.. ?? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WHEN THIS HAPPENED 3 MONTHS AGO AND NOTHING WAS BURNING.. WTF..?? ONE DROP.. OF COFFEE 3 MONTHS AGO.. CAUSING $2000 .. THEY MUST BE THIEVES ASSUMING IM DRIVING AUDI S4 I MUST HAVE MONEY... I HAVEN'T HAD A CAR IN A WEEK NOWW..DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO...

    did you put it into perspective like your last sentence? "so let me get this straight. one drop of coffee...3 months ago....caused $2000 worth of damage? my .59 coffee turned into $2k....how do you guys sleep at night?" that's how i'd say it to them.

          I have two friends with Audi's THAT WILL NEVER EVER GET ANOTHER ONE!! For this EXACT reason. I remember one buddy telling me that he spent 5k last year on repairs and atleast 1k this year. Apparently two things happen with them...They break down alot and it cost alot to get them fixed due to the limited number of places that will take them in to repair. AND YES they will try to fuk you over cause of this and the fact you have a nice car. It def sucks and that is why both of my friends are selling them as we speak.

                thie ignition switch being bad probably caused the dead battery and the vineger smell sounds like that sulfer smell when a battery is charging or there is some problem and it has boiled over. We already knew you had a bad wiper motor. Is the A/C still working diggi? It sounds like the switch got something spilled in it and thats it. Ask them if the control unit is located under the area where the spill occured. But first I want to know if the A/C was still working. Sometimes guys at these places will sell you more than you need just to cover all the bases, like this or that might have a problem too so I will include that in the estimate just in case.And after all said and done the problem is fixed so you cant say it wasnt this or that..

                  I'M TRADING THIS AS SOON AS I GET IT BACK... SAW THIS NICE CHEAP LEXUS RX 300.. AUDI = SUCKS... GERMAN CARS = SUCKS.. AMERICAN/JAPANESE=OWNS.. JUST REALISED THAT... GERMAN CARS HAVE SO MANY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND THE REPAIRS WILL KNOCK YOU OUT OF UR SOCKS.. UNBELIEVABLE.

                    The AC was working JUST FINE... Only once b4 I took the car to them..I had some minor "smoke" coming from underneath the ashtray..

                      well all cars have problems but the jap and american cars will usually put out an updated part that you dont have to pay for if they see something is a common problem, german car makers may do this as well i am just not familiar with them.

                            i would say the A/C switch probably is just sticking from the coffee. The smoke you saw could be from the ignition switch and probably was.. I bet if you get the switch replaced and maybe a new battery if the old one is bad, you will be good to go. Ask them why they say the control unit is bad if the A/C is working fine... Doesnt make since, the control unit being bad would cause all settings or at least some to not work. it is basically the computer that controls the climate control system.

                              Well all I can say is you know you spilled coffee and they (mechanics) could tell that coffee was spilled back there so I dunno
