well trip, you'd be proud of your boy!! lol. we sat up lastnight, before bed and talked...i dont think i raised my voice once!! (witch, in it's self is amazing becouse i get very emotional). it's the security thing. me starting this makes her want to hold on to the "for sure" thing and not venture out. she admit's, she dont look down the road, only to the now. after some checks and balances, she decided that she may need to think about it a little more. it's also the change thing. she dosnt like the change. but, she admit's, she really does not like it where she's at. she realizes that she will not advance anymore becouse he (the owner) will never trust her (witch really pisses her off!). and, to tell the truth, if she dont do it...i think i'll have to! i'll hire someone to run my store (not the best idea for a start up, but this opp. is too big). it'll take time away (witch we both HATE), but it's the right thing to do!! anyways....NOW, we're talking about it.

hope, u made excellent points, there's alot of background stuff from us being here for years that we know, so in the posts we're not communicating all the stuff we already know

dave's been in the car biz fro 20 years, and the last place he was with closed down 3-4 months ago, the year before that there was alot of going back and forth, should he stay, should he go, he's had many job offers opportunities, so in a sence they have been in a transition phase for 18 months already

since dave has historically been paid on incentive he has super confidence because he has met personal and biz goals historically maybe 90% of the time over 20 years, that confidence internal doesn't always translate over too anohter, kind of like you say, getting a handle on the specifics

what folks don't see and know, is that when i post something 95% of the time, i've really taken some consideration into the response, so in essence i'm not responding randomly

why, cause in my expereince, if I don't, i just give u information that

a. confuses u
b. pisses u off, cause think i don't know what's what, and not listening to you, thus u feel like i've discounted u
c. or most of all, could be very harmful and hurt u, if u take it too heart

C is obviously my highest priority, what i've seen in the past, is people getting bad advice, counsel from folks who have no regard for what could harm them or their family, this is more an industry problem then friends offering suggestions

I was able to relate, as my wife too was recently presented with a partnership opportunity. She had some reservations about it as well. But through some talking, and mostly listening, she is now excited about it, and has begun making the adjustments to pursue it 100%. Although I’m not physically there with her throughout the day, I make sure I’m there for her as HER partner for support, whenever she needs it. A new change can be overwhelming at first, but it helps for them to know their best friend is there with them every step of the way.
