As for Imus, Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, and Co. are just deflecting attention from the real problems that exist in the black community as they haven't a clue on how to address them.

Why aren't Jackson and Sharpton outraged at Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, and all these other gangsta rappers. They're causing far more harm to the black community than Don Imus. Shyt, black people didn't even know who Don Imus was before all this started!

Sharpton and Jackson are probably the biggest racists ever, and it's because of them, and the Rutgers girls and coach claiming this remark ruining their lives is complete BS, is the reason why Imus was fired. All the other garbage you hear from these comedians, radio shows, Rap and Hip Hop, Imus was trying to be cool for once and gets fired after 35 years of radio talk, this is all garbage. Someone needs to step up to Sharpton and put his racist ass in his place, problem is everyone is afraid to.

The 'Reverend' Jackson had an illegitimate child with his secretary. He also made degrading remarks towards Jewish people in the past, and no one called for his head. He's allowed to apologize and carry on with his career, but Imus (and what he said was clearly in a joking manner) isn't allowed to. It wasn't enough that he apologized, they weren't going to be satisfied until they had his head on a platter.
