I was going to join Golds Gym by me for $468 for the year. It includes a pool, and every type of machine you could imagine. How does that price compare with what you all pay?
BTW, I have to pay that in full. Which isn't a prob, but they said If I did monthly payments it would end up being $668!
That is a fair price considering that all Gold's this year were required to upgrade their gyms......I pay 260 but I had that membership since 97 and now I think it is like 400 something per year and its the smallest xsport of them all......
I pay 40 a month at one gym - yearly is cheaper but I don't know what it is right now.
It is much smaller than a typial Golds and no pool, only 4 treadmills, 3-4 steppers, 2 elipticals and a few bike.
A fair amount of weight and a decent qty and quality of machines. Thought he hack machines suck.
The other gym i go to is a small private key club and it is 30 a month but I do the maint. there so it's a no cost thing for me. But this place has no cardio stuff and very antiquated machines. It's home though.
Overall what you're paying for year isn't that bad with a pool, etc.
I pay $33 a month. The newest piece of equipment at my gym is from 1977. It's a small gym with maybe 150 members. It's nice because you don't have all the regular gym BS to deal with.

We go to the YMCA and it has everything, as well as a great weight room. It's the best YMCA I've ever seen for a guy like me. We pay $74 a month for a family membership. That includes the two pools, hot tub, child care, basketball, volleyball, racketball, weights, aerobics, spinning, kickboxing, hot tub, cardio and access to any YMCA anywhere. With Golds Gym, a lot are franchised and if you travel the owner could still make you pay, it all depends on how cool the owner is. But, your price is not that bad. I think the single person at the YMCA is $45 a month. But, the YMCA doesn't do paid in full, everything is monthly.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
Thanks for the replies everybody. I think I'm going to take it then. Cool thing about the pool is even though it is outdoors, I live in Florida so I can use it 9 months of the year. Gotta love florida!
The golds gym in my area is 1000 a year if you pay for three years up front.. I pay 29 a month at a different place - and 12 month for the gym at work.... it's all relative to your location!
