You couldn't be anymore right! They spend like fools and 90% of them have absolutely zero knowledge of how to invest or what to invest in!

All they care about is freaking Dub rims and Prada purses. It's so lame! It's as if these people think other people stop in place and say "Wow he has Dub rims, I wish I was him!" or "Wow she has a Prada purse, I wish I could be like her!". It's retarded! NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU HAVE OR WEAR!

Good point bro! Rep coming your way!

Are you fukin kiddin me? The great depression!? haha wtf are you talking about? The stock market has set new all time highs. Unemployment is at an all time low, steadily decreasing (4.9% as of Jan 2008). Interest rates are low and steadily getting better. People are donating record amounts of money! Farming, crop, and livestock are doing great...

you need to be a financial analyst..palease.. Where did you and your grandmother come to this conclusion?, while you were standing in line on the street waiting on a free hot plate while trying to keep warm by the fire in a steel drum? or sitting in a nice climate controlled home? The homeless don't even have to do that these days. A study was done, and bums average between $16-$20 an hour in a metro area. That's a bum's wage. and they could get a job if they really wanted one. the great depression....phshht...

Grain farming is doing great right now mainly because the american dollar isn't worth a dam so other countries see our grain as cheap so yes there have been a large number of exports in grains.

Now livestock is far from doing great, Beef and hog slaughter numbers are up simply because livestock farmers can't afford to feed them high dollar grains.

You need to take a look at the debt this country is in. That will tell you we are not in good shape by any means.

The country has had debt all of my life and I'm sure it will be in debt for the rest of my life. Just because the country is in debt doesn't mean that times aren't good. Don't forget that America is still the strongest economy and richest country in the world. by a landslide.

and thanks for affirmation on the farming industry bowbow. The point is, during the great depression, nothing was doing great. Virtually every aspect of the economy fell around the whole world. So depression?..far from. Not even recession!

^ so you dont think that were in a recession? We are well into a recession, low unemployment rates don't always correlate with a thriving economy.

                      Re: Great Depression again?

great depression, why did they call it that?????

25% unemployment for a decade, ten years

right now over the last 20 years we've added 3 billion capitalists to the world economy

that trend will no revert itself

we do have some serious problems in the credit markets, derivative markets, etc., which is not good

imho, money does not disapear it get's transferred

the big boys on wall street sucked money out of the uninformed during the dot com bubble, they had so much money they turned around and lent it back to them for sub-prime mortagages and now they are giving it back, ie, losing it

the ones who have not lost it are just leveraging it up and buying commodities, as a percentage ot total assets commodities are actually a small piece so x amount of money that controls it can actually have a great influence on the future price

life goes on better than yesterday along with challenges

we do have some big ones on hand

and we shall see what happens, hopefully some good stuff

                        Re: Great Depression again?

                        where's the money going now

here in dallas my brother is selling a dozen foreclosed homes for a bank, they all had a 90k mortagage on them, they are selling in the 30-40k range, they all need 10-15k worth of work, so someone with cash and good credit on hand today will profit handsomely 7-10 years from now

supply and demand, it will take a few more years to work off the real estate inventory and for demand to get back in balance to supply

once again trip is right on point. And that's the only, and I emphasize only, real economic issue. And just as you stated trip, this is an excellent time for the masses with capital or means of capital. fun fact; this whole lending mess that caused the housing market to slump was caused by liberal mindset.

horsepwr..what about how our fed just creates credit and money out of thin air? How is that not an issue..How is national debt not an issue? China can destroy us in a day if they wanted, yet our economy is ok??
