I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, but what the hell, it's good so I'm gonna post it again.
IRON GOD
Hear me God of Iron, for these words ring true,
Help me become a God like you.
Give me the will to lift through the pain,
So my body may grow through the strength that I gain.
Guide my arms to be strong and true,
To fuel the intensity each day through.
Give me the power in these callused hands,
To stand proud amongst my peers throughout this land.
I’ll give my soul on the alter of desire,
If you’ll help the weight reach higher and higher.
I can live with the stares and the mumbling crowd,
Just for the chance to make you proud.
I pray each day on the iron bar throne,
Grinding out each rep with a massive groan.
Watch over my bros from the powerlifter fame,
Protect them O’God while they’re in the game.
And when the day has come and gone,
Rebuild my body so I may go on.
