Ok, first off, the dishwasher is new, right? The house is new, right? Did anyone bother to punch a hole into the garbage disposal that the dishwasher is hooked up to? I can't tell you how many times I've heard of people forgetting to do that. I'm real close to a couple Certified Home Inspectors and they say that's probably the most over looked thing in new homes. And they usually don't catch it until it starts leaking water or when it won't drain.

Now, as far as the inspection. Are you a Certified Home Inspector? Are you a General Contractor? Are you Certified in HVAC? I'm just trying to find out what your credentials are when you say 'you' inspected the property.

Brand new or not, you never ever ever buy a home without a Certified Home Inspection, ever. They will test every single electrical, plumbing and mechanical thing in the home. They will check the roof, they will check and test everything. You should never take responsibility for something like that. If 'you' do the inspection and something goes wrong, you have no one to hold accountable. Just because a home is brand new doesn't mean everything is going to be perfect. If anything, brand new homes have more proublems than used ones because the bugs haven't been worked out yet.

Chaulk this up to experience and be sure to get an expert to inspect the property..

everything is under waranty and is being fixed i was just *****ing because this happened! with a new house nothing like this should happen it should all be correct i have a 1 year warranty!

check your contract with your real estate lawyer..you gotta remember to do your final walkthrough with an engineer that you know next time.

if it's brand new, meaning that you purchased it from the builder, most states require a 1 year warranty on pretty much everything..

That suks the inspector didnt do a great job and you shouldnt have to go through this mess .I would talk to the contractor about this for inconveniece !
