its been the buzz word on network television and paper media for awile. but not until this year i realized 'shit its fkin hot, there really is something off here', its true ladies and gentlemen, our ecosystem is changing, and we're all at fault!
Oh we are at fault. It will only get worse. Population boom every way in the world. Oil consumption at all time high. Etc. Just wait till our kids get older, I can only imagine.

just means one day i'll be sitting on prime ocean front property baby!! i should announce it now...1.5 acre's of prime ocean front property in michigan for the low price of $6mil. get it before it's gone fella's! yep, it's all just a waiting game now....
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
I think it just feels hotter to us because we're juicing. We gotta find out if non juicers think its getting hotter...

I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven."--Schwarzenegger
Yeah and the sad thing is many skeptics out there are to naive to see the truth. It's sad that we are stupid enough to destroy the thing that keeps us alive and gives us a home. But like everything else humans destroy anything they get their hands on. It makes me wonder sometimes if we are just a virus infesting this planet and that's why the planet sends natural disasters and viruses at us. Maybe the viruses that kill us off aren't viruses. Maybe they are the equivalent of an antibody trying to kill us off but we've weakened the planets immune system too much.
Ever wonder if earth is a molecule, we're the virus, and we are in a larger being....that lives in a planet, where he is a virus, where he lives in a being....and on and on and on!
Actually, I was told that it's over stated by far. Over the last few years the miles driven in automobiles by people have tripled. However, the amount of emmisions that cars put off today have decreased by over 70%. Here's the facts, global warming, if you look at the history of temperatures, started wat back in the 1800's. Way before cars or the use of crude oil even started. This has been hapenning for a long time. The truth is, we don't know for sure what the cause is so we speculate. Now, the whole icebergs melting and flooding the earth is the most over stated of all. Imagine if you will a glass half full of ice and the rest liquid. When the ice melts, does the liquid in the glass over flow? NO. Most of the ice that is melting is in the form of glaciers and icebergs which are already in or on water. So, since ice is nothing more than the frozen expansion of water, there is no logical reason to assume it would flood the oceans. However, here's where the real 'threat' is. If too much fresh water melts into the Atlantic there is a belief amongst scientists that it would mess up the Gulf Stream and cause it not to bring warm water up along the east coast and therefore the Hudson and other north east rivers would freeze solid. This makes me laugh because if you analyze the west coast you will see that the current actually flows south and brings colder water down from Alaska. So, if the lack of tropical warm waters would freexe all the north east rivers solid, why dont all the rivers in Washington and Oregon frreeze solid? After all, they NEVER receive warm tropical water. But yet, this phanomenon is supposed to take place at the exact same longitude on the other side of the country. I call BS! It's the dumbest thing I ever heard.
According to scientists thic world has bgeen through many ice ages and many very hot ages and according to them man survived them. The only way I see man having issues is when the worlds population is about 12 Billion people and there is absolutely not enough fertile land to grow enough crops to feed the world. That's a long long long time away. But then again, (playing devils advocate) if the eath does heat up then the only thing that will really happen is the current farm lands will move north to avoid the extreme heat. However, (yet again, another contradiciton) if the earth gets that hot and that much ice melts then the humidity levels would rise and therefore there would be more rain. Look at that, I just saved the farm lands. For every possible 'threat' there is anatural response in nature that will become a benefit. Look at how much land across Canada and Russia is unusable due to the wheather. Well, if temperatures raised on average 5 degrees, that would make much more useable land in the world. And, most of the land currently affected by heat is already desert and not useful for anything.
That's my opinion on the whole thing.

Tmann your iceberg theory is off though. You used the analogy of an ice cube in a glass of water. When you put an ice cube in water it doesn't sit way above the surface. It usually sits barely above the surface. If you have so much ice in your glass that it is sitting way above the surface I bet you any money that if you don't drink any and you let it sit there the water level will rise. If the ice isn't completely in the glass, it's not going to rise to it's full melted capacity. So being that most icebergs are gigantic and sticking way out of the water, in all essence....Yes the water levels will rise.
Also if you think the pollution isn't bad for the planet guess again. Have you ever gone to an overpopulated city like L.A. then drove to the middle of the country where there's nothing but farmland and trees? You can't honestly tell me with a straight face that you don't notice a difference in the quality of the air you breathe between both places. The overpopulated city's air quality is no match for that of the country. That can't be good for the planet. I bet it's one of the causes of sickness these days. I guarantee it's doing damage to people, and equally it's doing damage to the planet.
Also I've seen more storms, droughts, earthquakes, fires, and eruptions than I've seen in my entire life. they say that these last few years have been some of the worst in recorded history. That's not a good thing, and obviously means we're doing something wrong.
But lets say for arguments sake you are totally right and my points are waaaay off. What's the worst that can happen if we conserve, and stop being such machine dependent pigs?? We'll have cleaner air, we won't have a dependance on oil, and maybe the majority of american's wouldn't be fat pigs. Worst case scenario we'd be helping ourselves even if it wasn't truly helping the planet!

Umm, I hate to tell you bro but you're wayoff on how ice bergs work. Just read this:
ANATOMY OF AN ICEBERG
Usually 1/5th of an iceberg is above the waterline. That part consists of snow, which is not very compact. The ice in the cold core is very compact (and thus relatively heavy) and keeps 4/5th of the iceberg under water. The temperature in the core is constant: between -15 and -20 degr. Centigrade. An iceberg that has tumbled over several times, has lost its light snow layers and so the iceberg gets relatively heavier then before (with the snow) and because of the greater compactness, only 1/10th rises above the surface.
As you can see only 1/5 of the iceberg is above water and most of that is snow that is not very dense. Then, after it tumbles over several times, only 1/10 of it is above water. You still think something that has 90% of its mass below water is going to do much to the water level? Absolutely not! And, with regard to the ice in the galss thing, it doesn't matter how much ice is above the water level, when ice melts the volume decreases substantially. That's why when you get frost bite you lose the function of those body parts because the liquid becomes frozen and literally tears your tissue apart from all the expansion. It's basic physics bro. Take your average ice tray with ice out of the freezer and let it thaw. See how low the water drops. We did this is physics class as part of a study between the volume and density of gases, liquids and solids.
Anyways, like I said, I'm not saying there isn't a problem, I'm saying nature has a way to recovering from it. The fact that isolated air problems over cities like LA mean very little to the entire world when you consider the fact that out of all the surface area in the world LA and NY are very very insignificant in size. They are pin holes on a pin cushion when compared to teh whole world. If you poke a pin cusion a 100 times you will still have a pin cusion. If you poke it a thousand times, you will still have a pin cusion. Yes, eventually, the pin cusion will not function and when there are a 1,000 cities like LA I'm sure the world will be screwed. But then again, most of the crude oil is expected to be used up in the nex half century or so, so by the time there are 1,000 cities like LA, there will be a totally different fuel source.

No he's not, look at the link I posted. It clearly states that only 1/10 to 1/5 of the iceberg is above water. How the hell is that little bit going to raise the water level when it's an absolute fact that ice decreases in volume when it returns to a liquid state. It's an assumption that defies physics and physics doesn't lie. When ice melts it's volume decreases. This is an absolute fact of sciences.
