Well a few weeks ago I finally cracked 500 on the bench @ 195 bw with 515. I took some time off for my elbows and shoulders and last week hit a pretty easy 550 off of 3 boards. Well last night I was working up to a 1rm on 2 boards and was planning on hitting around the same or more. I got up to 455 and my right forearm started aching pretty bad but sometimes when that happens it goes away so I go 495 and it felt like pure hell! I had to SLOWLY remove my right hand from the bar and it hurt to the bone. I was then pretty damn pissed so I took 550 out of the rack held it for about a second and threw it back, it felt like my arm was gonna break. FFFFUUUUUUCCCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To top it all off my shoulders are irritated once again. This shit is so frustrating! It seems like everytime I hit a nice pr something comes along and kicks me in the ass.

Aerobics: a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starch into aches, pains and cramps! (that's why I don't do 'em LOL)

Re: One step forward.......two steps back
I can't lift near the weight your using but I experience the same thing. When I get really strong (for me) that's when my shoulders go. My frame wasn't made to lift these types of weights as are most of ours. It takes a tole for sure. I'm at that point now, I can't even do chest and shoulders right now. Sucks.

Yeah, I'm just gonna chill for a week or two and just do some triceps and forearm work for higher reps and some shoulder rehab stuff, maybe even some shoulder and wrist traction (couldn't hurt). This type of shit is just the nature of the beast when going all out. I've deffinately had my share of injuries over the years so it's nothing new, just pisses me off and frustrates the hell out me. Oh how I wish GH was cheaper, lol!

I know what the shoulder thing is, but I wonder what is causing that forearm pain that everyone is having. That one doesn't make sense to me.
Oh btw a little advice........Use the time off to hit your abs real hard. Then when you get back into it, it won't be time wasted.
