Go to Edmunds.com and read the consumer reviews for each model your are considering. I wanted an Audi A4 a year ago. After reading the consumer reviews, I changed my mind. I'd go with BMW.
Ok heres the deal. I was in the same situation few months ago, didn't know what to get BMW 3 series or some Audi. After thinking carefully and doing ALOT of research and asking people I decided to buy Audi S4 instead of any BMW.
Now, BMW = speed. If you're looking for speed then go with BMW M3 .. 325 or these types won't give you MUCH power but they are still fun to drive around.
HOWEVER, handling and just having a drive of your lifetime AUDI shits all over BMW.
Do a search on google Audi VS BMW videoclip they have a few clips S4 vs M3, M3 was clearly faster but S4 was MUCH MUCH better + safer to drive..and its very stable. Steering is also another Audi beauty. Very slick and smooth also the interior design is superior to BMW.
Now, Audi's 1.8T Turbo and some other models they have been known to cause alot of problems.
Remember something, Audi parts are the MOST expensive ones from them all. Forget Mercedes, Lexus, Bmw parts, once your Audi starts to break sell it ASAP.
I've been driving mine now for about 7 months no problems whatsoever.
goodluck
hmm Audi parts are the most expensive damn seems like M3 is my 1st opt for right now .Got a couple more months to think about it we'll see
"Workout each rep till I drop the uglyiest , meanest face"
HAHAHAHAHA! Audi's look like freaking Volkswagens!! An RS6 would not kill any BMW. Anyone that says that has obviously never driven both models. Granted Audi's are ok they are no BMW.
#1 Consumer reports gives them black dots all across the board, all models, all years. That doesn't mean it's quality. It means it's problems!!!!
#2 Audi's don't have the same prestigious feel that a BMW carries. It feels and looks like a sporty Volkswagen.
#3 The resale value of a Audi does not compare to that of a Bimmer.....Do some research and you will see this.
#4 Women in general are more impressed with BMW than an AUDI! Go and ask 20 women and see what they all say. Guarantee majority of them would favor for the BMW. So BMW = More hot chicks.
#5 BMW handling is absolutely amazing. I've driven cars that are used in autocross and a stock BMW handles better than some highly modded autocross cars I've driven.
#6 The look is so much sleeker, and so much more defined.
There is no comparison to a BMW, unless you have owned one you have no clue. I've driven every car you can imagine.....Corvette C5 & C6 coupe and ragtop, 06 fully dealer modded SLP GTO, WRX, SRT4, BMW's, Mitsu's, Mercedes, Volvo's, Mustangs....and many many many more. I go once a month to every dealer around to find cool cars to drive just to see what's new, what's fast, and what beats what. I have to say that NOTHING compares to the feel of a BMW. A BMW is just a different feel period.
If that isn't enough reasons why to choose a BMW over an Audi then I don't know what is!
As you can see the RS4 is dead even with the M3 in 0-60. Barely noses it out in the 1/4 mile. And has a lower top speed than the M3. The RS4 is twice the price on top of that. So basically bay $50k for the M3 put $10k for mods which brings you to a total of $60k and you would have an M3 that would walk all over the RS4!!! Plus you'd be saving $20k for either a cool boat, bike, or to blow on strippers!!!
