Re: wtf is up wit N Korea ?
N. Korea has a new long range missle that they are hinting they want to test fire. Approximate range is 9300 miles. Enough to reach Los Angeles, Pop.10 million.
S. Korea and Japan also have a stake in this. North Korea has long wanted to retake South Korea. That's why there is a DMZ there. Japan is in danger as well, along with China and Russia.
If Kim does test fire the missle and it is successful, you will see a great interest form the adjoining countries to stop his nuclear arsenal growth.
But a stated above, he is a physco that wants to be recognized as a major power, but in reality, is only a pest ......at this point.Push it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!

Re: wtf is up wit N Korea ?
North Korea... I am familiar with the North Korean issue.
His army would descimate Soule within days. The city is within artillery range and he`s got thousands of guns dug into the mountains, can`t even nuke stuff burried under a mountain. So if we attack Soule is gone. Military estimates range up to 6 million deaths. The South Korean Economy is ranked 12 or 14th in the world. He could remove that economy from the market.
It is estimated that he has between 3-7 nuclear weapons, not small enough to be missile portable (this is key) but nukes none the less. His missles are limited in payload to 600kg. He doesn`t have the tech to mount them yet. Are they for sale? Has he exported one already?
But he could still shower Tokyo with 600kg conventional explosive rockets. The city is incredibly packed with people and 600kg would be pretty nasty on a mid size 10 story apartment building. He could bring Japan to a screeching halt economically. Japan is the second largest economy in the world three times the size of Britan or Germany, if you remove this economy from the market for even a month, the results would create a tidal wave of chaos in the western markets.
Pre-emptive nuke strike? Due to the mountainous terrain, lots of nukes would be required the weather patterns bring the fallout straight to Japan (only about 200 miles). So we nuke his 20 million people and then give cancer to Japan`s 120 million.
Answer? Let him starve and die. His system doesn`t work. Women aren`t having babies the pop is shrinking. His main export is concrete. He has no oil for heat in the winter and no money to buy it with. If he pisses off the Chinese, they will shut off all oil and he will die like your foot would if you put a tournaquet on your thigh. Slowly but certainly. China is not interested in a war on the Korean Pen. The Chinese are mainly interested in a distraction for the Japanese and US. So it is in the Chinese interest to keep the current situation as is and the current situation is slow death.
for more information go to the following link, it`s from the CIA World Factbook
For the reccord, I don`t trust what George Bush says about N. Korea but I do trust the CIA.

i don't know why people still think north korea does not have the technology to reach the US, they have had it for some time.
N. Korea Fires Long-Range Missile, Others
Associated Press/ERIC TALMADGE | July 5 2006
North Korea launched a long-range missile Wednesday that may be capable of reaching the United States but it failed after 35 or 40 seconds, two State Department officials said.
The missile was one of at least three that were fired. The two others were short-range missiles. All landed in the Sea of Japan, said the Japanese government, which was unable to confirm that they included a long-range missile.
The officials in Washington, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the long-range missile was the Taepodong-2, North Korea's most advanced missile with a range of up to 9,320 miles.
The launch came after weeks of speculation that the North was preparing to test its advanced Taepodong-2 missile from a site on its northeast coast. The preparations had generated stern warnings from the United States and Japan, which had threatened possible economic sanctions in response.
The Sea of Japan lies between Japan and the Korean Peninsula.
"North Korea has gone ahead with the launch despite international protest," Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe said. "That is regrettable from the standpoint of Japan's security, the stability of international society, and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction(candidates@google:ron paul )
