Was driving around in Honolulu yesterday - got lost and stopped at a Chevron for directions and noticed the gas price was $4.05 for regular and $4.10 for premium??? WTF???

I was reading the Wall Street Journal this morning and a highly respected economist and trader says the american public can get used to paying 3 dollars per gallon of gas. He says that you can over the next 3 to 5 years absolutely expect the $3.00 per/gal price to stay for good, so think about what your next car purchase will be.

It's a bunch of bullshit! It's not fair for those of us that are forced to drive around in an 8cyl truck! I'm not going to haul a few thousand pounds of wood with a civic! This is absolute crap, and I don't know why american citizens aren't rallying! I don't even want to hear the shortage shit! I'd love for someone to explain to me how oil companies are making record amounts of money? Why isn't our government taxing these bastards high amounts on what they make until they drop their prices. Eventually they'll be forced to drop their prices. They can't go without our business forever!Comment

Just take a look at the HUGE number of tractor trailers out there. This gas increase is going to hit ALL aspects of our lives. Prices have got to go up when it costs 10, 15 20 % more for fuel to get the raw materials to the manufacturer and then to the retailer.

ummm, because the oil companies are the ones who put the current administration where they are today? the oil companies know the deal, as well as the auto makers and the govt. our culture of excess will carry on as it always has, as long as the media continues to reinforce the ideals that the major corporations use to fuel the economy. people will ***** for a while, and SUV sales may drop a little, but in the end everybody will get used to it and pay up.
