        Earl Campbell #34 ? that dude was the s#it back in the day !

          Todays rb's get so much praise for getting 25+ carries a game...there was a time when Cambell had ( i think) an 8 game stretch of 40+ carries. He was the ONLY weapon they had and defenses knew it...Still he got his game on...

          Stud, Plain and simple...



          Edit: actually i think it was a 3 game stretch and 8 games over 40 for the season.

            Earl Campbell was THEE meaning of what a durable back was. The Oilers tried to make Eddie George a durable back by giving him 40+ carries a season. He couldn't cut it like Earl could. Both were great backs. But Earl proved more durable in the end. Today, RB's are getting hurt left and right.
