  • Wisdom Teeth

Well I got three impacted ones and they hurt like hell. Time to have them removed. Going under the knife tomorrow ... wish me luck. ONly good thing is the vicodin I'm going to be getting

    Good luck bro!

I got 2 wisedom teeth removed not too long ago and it went fairly well.

Got it done at noon.... wanted to go out drinking with the boys that night. Doc said "No" cause the pain killers don't go well with alcohol. So I stopped taking the pain killers. Jaw was sore early on in the evening, but once the beer set in it was all good.

Woke up the next morning and I hurt more from the hangover than from the jaw so I said "F it" and didn't bother with the pain killers from then on. Took about 2 out of 100 pills. Saved those babies for when I actually need them.

They knocked me out cold for the surgery. Talk about weird.....

I got all 4 of mine taken out at the same time. I had some bleeding, but no pain. Didn't even take the pain pills they prescribed to me. I was playing full court basketball 2 days later. Hope your experience will be as painless as mine was. Or maybe i'm just tough, lol.

Thanks. I had one removed about two years ago and it hurt like hell. It hurt so bad I almost went to the emergency room ... then again maybe I'm not as tough as ladies man.

I also had 4 removed at the same time, by a Military Dentist. I had no pain afterwards, just breath that would melt steel. You should be good. Most Dentist's will only give you 20 Vic's though.

had 2 removed 2 years ago... bottom left and right... looked like a chipmunk with huge cheeks for a week...
              didn't hurt too much tho...
i don't remeber too many details tho... all i remeber was the assistant holding my head and the dude with a jizzel and a hammer hammering... and then he gets out of my mouth and his gloves area all bloody.. and i'm like wtf!? one of the teeth was gowing under some other one so they had to break it into pieces to get it from the side or soemtihng like that...but it was all good.. my whole head was numb so i didn't feel a thing...

They told me I need mine out but I have never had them removed I might sometime but I think they are ok I really dont want to have to go through it if it isnt really necessary! They have been telling me for a long time I would probably need them out but they havent caused me any problems!

Be careful with the vicodin, trust me pain pills are very dangerous!

Geared -> They always told me the same thing. I never thought I had any problems, but once I got them out, my head felt lighter, my cheeks slimmed down some, I didn't get frequent headaches, my teeth were easier to clean and manage (because I had 4 fewer), my jaws quit popping, and you also decrease your chance of having a cavity because those wisdoms are hard to keep clean back there.

I think you should do it.

Ya I probably will I do get a cracking jaw sometimes and problems because of it so maybe that is from that! I have the straightest teeth and I dont wanyt someday for them to mess that up even though if they havent after all this time I doubt they will!

I only have the the top wisdom teeth, every time I go to the dentist he asks when are we going to take them out? I am not interested until I have a problem, they also say it is better to get them out before you are 35, I am well past that now and they still want to take them out!!! I think I will keep them a while longer.
