Return of the Camaro & Dodge Challenger!!

Ok so I was browsing the internet when I stumbled across this gem. Supposedly Dodge is going to be bringing back the Dodge Challenger and is going to make it look very similar to the 1970 RT model. Also Chevrolet is going to bring back the Camaro with a similar look to the 69 SS. Very slick looking cars and if Dodge and Chevy get their heads out of their asses they will follow Fords lead with a retro muscle car rebuild.

Ford finally recorded profits after a long run of losses. Chevy is still posting losses, and even though Chrysler is doing good right now they need to follow suit to stay in the game. If Chevy brings that Camaro back, Chrysler needs to answer back with a retro musclecar and not a knockoff so called rebuild like the Charger. Sure it's a decent car, but it looks nothing like the old charger and has no retro look in anyway.

What is all of your opinions on this?

I'll tell you I don't know which one I'd opt for but I'll be first in line to buy one of these beasts!

Dude, the SS Camero was awesome. Although the muscle cars of that time couldn't handle for shit, they were still awesome as hell. I had a Camero when I was 16. I wish I would have kept on to that thing. I enjoy the sound of them now because that stupid oversized muffler thing is annoying. Does that really impress anyone? Sure, it's louder, but your little 1990 Accura integra still only goes 0-60 in 7 seconds. LOL

I actually saw an integra smoke a saleen mustang, all for an 1/8th of the price. LOL but seriously your right those mufflers are annoying and whats even more annoying is those that usually put those mufflers on, do nothing else on their cars except those COOL neon lights LOL

I hear ya Tmann. I love when all these ricers pull up to me and rev their lawn mower sounding engines at me. I just look at them and rev back with my 5.3 V8 with dual exhaust and show them what real power sounds like!

Except one time when I was at Moroso's 1/4 mile track and I was up against a 99 Integra. we were next in line and I revved at him with a big grin. Then it quickly changed to a look of shock when he revved back and all I heard was vrooooooom PSSHHHHHHHHHHHH! Then we lined up, the tree lit, and off we went. He absolutely annihilated me! Wasn't a big surprise though because as soon as I heard his turbo kick in and the blow off valve, I knew I had no chance!

It's hard to beat some of these 4 cyl cars when their turbocharged. Look at the Neon SRT4. That thing stock is the same speed as a Mustang GT. That says alot. The EVO 8 & WRX STI both have under 5 second 0-60 and 12 second 1/4 mile runs all with a 4cyl turbocharged engine.
This is exactly why these to cars I posted need to be made. To bring back real musclecars that 4cyl cars won't touch!

But like Ryu said the majority have just the coffee can exhaust with nothing else done. I'd love to pull up to one of these guys, roll down my window, and ask "How many peanuts do you have to feed that squirrel to make that thing go that fast?"

I like the challenger but don't really like the camero. I saw really nice concept retro camero about a year ago. It didn't have that nasty pointed front grill.

Enough jokes about rice burners with loud exhausts! It sounds cool ok!!!!

they should of brought back some of the old lines like ford did with the 05 mustang... chev. is getting to hung up on making things look to retro...the camero is a muscle car make it look that way..

Chevy and Dodge are making these things too big too, they dont look right going down the road. The 05' Mustang GT is sweet, and just an all-around cool car.
