  • Any suggestions..??

I`ve been working 3rd shift for nearly 2 months now, and it looks like its going to stay that way for a while now, since I`m the head (overnight) security director, the place that I work at. My shift normaly goes from 11 pm. until 7 am. and sometimes from 12 am. until 8 am. I really never liked doing 3rd shift but today you gotta make that money somehow. I have to sleep during the day, and most likely I never get full 8 hours of deep sleep like I would if I slept at night. So its at least 4-5 hours of sleep.. and even then I`m happy if I don`t wake up for 4-5 hours. Lately diet has been really nowhere, my training sucks balls and focus in the gym is nowhere where it should be. I just don`t have that mental drive to give my best. Like today, I was doing chest.. I did.. 3 sets of flat bench, 3 sets of incline.. then some cable crossovers and that was it.. I didn`t even feel pumped or anything. Diet part is really horrible. I eat like twice a day.. and then at night I eat all crappy stuff.. ice-cream, cookies, crackers.. stuff that makes you look like Sven`s avatar .

Do you have any advices and suggestions about my current situation.. ?

You should buy a bunch of healthy food and make meals up ahead of time and bring your dinners and healthy snacks to work....do you have a microwave at work???

GET A SMALL COOLER AND SOME REUSEABLE ICE PACKS TO BRING TO WORK, IN HERE YOU CAN FIT 2 SHAKES GET SOMETHING LOW CARB I USE O.N. PROCOMPLEX LOW CARB MEAL REPLACEMENT TASTES GREAT, THEN SOME COTTAGE CHEESE ONCE AGAIN LOW CARB YOU DON'T WANT TO EAT TO MANY CARBS THAT LATE AT NIGHT. A LITTLE ROOM LEFT FOR SOME GATORADE TO REPLACE YOUR ELECTROLYTES FOR THE NEXT DAYS HARD WORKOUT. DO YOU WORKOUT JUST BEFORE WORK, IF SO PLAN TO HAVE SOME TIME IN BETWEEN FOR A NICE MEAL THEN YOUR SET W/ YOUR LOW CARB SNACKS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. EAT A NICE MEAL WHEN YOU GET UP AS WELL. DO YOU OWN "PUMPING IRON" AND THE ARNOLD ENCYCLOPEDIA WHEN I GET OFF TRACK AND START LOOSING INTEREST I WRITE UP A NEW WORKOUT REGIMENT AND THROW IN A VID NEXT THING YA KNOW I'M THROWING PLATES A ROUND THE GYM. HOW ABOUT A MP3 PLAYER NEW MUSIC CAN GET YOU IN THE MOOD, GOTTA GO I'LL THINK UP SOME MORE AND GET BACK.

          Thanks.. all..

Yeah...to be honest with you guys I`m becoming really lazy..preparing my meals and all..I don`t do nothing at my work..except sit in the office for what 8 hours..look at the cameras, answer phones and other shit. If I want I can eat those full 8 hours.. cause I`m all by myself at night. We even have a good kitchen with microwave..and everything else..

And YES I do have PUMPING IRON dvd 25yRS anniversary..

I`m buying a DVD player soon so I can watch movies and other shit at work..I also need a laptop..with wireless internet.. it really gets boring at night.

Well I think the amount of sleep your getting is the cause for about everything else your doing. Your simply tired and don't feel like taking the time to prepare qaulity meals. That carry's over to your training, being tired means not being able to do your normal workload.

Somehow you need to start getting more sleep and all the other things will work themselves out.
