Just recently purchased an MP3 Player and want to know where everyone is getting their music from - any suggestions for free tunes?

I use LimeWire. I had to pay a one time fee of like $25, or something like that, but I don't care because they are much better than the last place I used. Apparently, the fee is supposed to make it legal. LOL The best way to make it legal is to make sure you don't allow others to upload from you, that's where you get in trouble. You can download, you just can't give it away. Atleast, that's how the law is written right now.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

Solid, can't you take the music from lime wire and download to your ipod? I can. You might need to download iTunes. It's totally free and you can convert any sound file to an MP3, or whatever you need. Everything I download or save from CD I convert to MP3 and then transfer to my player.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

thats what everyone tells me..but it doesnt work for some reason..when i try it an icon comes up that says the price that i have to pay to get the song..perhaps because my ipod is new? im not sure.(candidates@google:ron paul )Comment

Interesting....what about music you already own, do you have that on your pc? With iTunes you can convert those and transfer them. If not, I'd go to iPod tech support and tell them what's up. Or, I can try to send you some of my MP3's and you can see if they work. Just let me know. There is nothing worse than a new toy you can't play with. If you have Window Media Player 10, you can convert any music to an MP3.
Just hit the Rip button at the top toolbar, select your song and it wiil convert it to MP3.
It will also convert MP3's to regular music to be placed on a CDPush it, Pull it, Rack it. Repeat untill wide!!
