  • Wedding nerves!

I'm getting down to the wire. Less than 4 days now and I'm getting married.

It's just weird to think I will be calling my girlfriend my wife. Wow it makes me feel old. Sucky thing for me is when I was single, I was skinny and didn't get much attention. Now that I'm getting married, I'm big (compared to what I was) and I get attention everywhere I go. It's not that I'm not ready to settle down because I am. It just sucks that now that I'm tied down, I get all this attention. Oh well, I've got an awesome girl that is a perfect match for me (most of the time) and my life would be empty without her , so I'm happy this is going on. But man are my nerves starting to kick in!

Yeah it sounds like your in good shape bro, Nothing to worry about.
I was with my wife for 7 years before we got married so it wasn't much of a change for us. 8 years now for us. It has it's great times, good times and of course the bad times but you need all of them or something's just wrong. Nothing is perfect. You just work through the bad times to get to more of the good ones that's all.

And congrats on the wedding bro.

                  Re: Wedding nerves!

                  thanks guys & gals.

Thunderturd that's one of the biggest things I'm nervous about. I'm very outgoing and it wouldn't matter if there's a million people looking at me, I won't feel uncomfortable. But the minute everyone is sitting down, and I'm basically the only one standing & everyone is looking at me, I feel all awkward and nervous. I hate that.

                      Re: Wedding nerves!

All normal! And trust me, it doesn't matter if you have a g/f or a wife, anytime you are taken, women want you. Trust me, they can sense when a man is not interested and that intrigues them. Everytime I had a g/f I got more attention than when I didn't, simply because I wasn't looking. Guys who are always looking look desperate. Guys who are taken don't. Just wait until you are married. I've been married for 5 years and I get more attention now than I ever did. Because I don't care. Women, for some odd reason, are totally attrated to men who don't care. Atleast in my experience.

007 you never cease to amaze me with your stories, lol! Oh, one thing you must consider DJ, if there is something that really bothers you about her and think she will change then i would have to say reconsider, because one thing i have learned over the yrs is you can't change anyone, so if you can live with it, then all will be good, if not.... then your in for some serious probs later. The same goes for a woman thinking she can change a man. Alot of ppl i see getting married nowdays feel they need to get married, because its time to, or they have been in a committed relationship for so long that they don't want to break it off because of confrontation or don't feel they can get anyone else, or in a woman's case, they don't want to be an old maid, but i say when the time is right then thats when you consider it, not just because you are getting older. Marriage is not for everyone, but if you are the marrying kind and you have truely found your life mate, it can be the most closest bond you will have. Good luck to you, and best wishes!
