$2.54...but we have no gas. We have to go to the next town to get it. I havent been as I filled up before Katrina hit. (Florida/beach)

$0.12 in Venezuela. However, I live in Colorado where it's $2.64.

Too bad we don't have more of our own oil rigs and refineries. We could be paying less than a $1 too if we could just drill in Alaska an refine it ourselves. But, I guess the squirels are more important than people being able to feed their families or pay their bills. Maybe wildlife is more important than humanity, because the only thing stopping us from lower prices is the environmentalists. Funny contradiction if you think about it. They are into all this natural stuff and yet petroleum come from the ground and they don't want us to have it.

This is one thing i strongly disagree with 007. there are other ways of getting around that without destroying natural habitats.

Oh yea, there is ethanol, but the government acts like it's not an option. I do respect you opinon bro, but what would you do? (asking out of curiosity) I would think it to be safer to drill on land where you can clean a spill than to drill in water where you cant do anything about a spill. And, if we drilled here and refined here it would reduce the use ocean tankers which would reduce the possiblity of oceanic threat. IMO

I seriously don't know. Maybe there is a way to drill without distroying natural habitats and wildlife. Damn you know how may 1k of acres are destroyed in rainforest, killing thousands of habitats every day?? Many species of animals on brink of extinction right now, even in residential areas i see right in my area they are clearing land for Walmart, condos, and other developments, without reguard for wetlands and the environment. These large construction groups do many things without getting proper approval from zoning before clearing land. I see it all the time and i pisses the hell out of me. Where are these animals to go after their habitats are cleared?? and they are run into the street to be killed by motorists. Iam sorry, but i do not believe in this. I just think ppl are not concerened, but only about progress and their selfish circumstances. Why don't they just take oil from these Iraq's, lol after all we are spending billions over there. There are so many variable involved it is impossible for me to express. Bottom line is ppl always passing the buck and they "rob Peter to pay Paul". One of these days trust me there will be domino effect here.
