I have

a 12" tribal with the chinese character for power/strenght in the middle in red.

Never really thought about it being gay. I also have one on the inside of my left bicep (tribal sun (color) 6" in diameter.

As long as he's NOT gay I think it will be fine. Mine has never given me any homo-erotic feelings...I think my wife might have an issue if it did.

i have one on my left shoulder blade and one on my right delt and then i do habe one on my lower back but its big. its a special word in german but its graffiti, its chrome too. i love it. it goes across my whole back and is like 5in high. im not gay either! id have to call myself gay if it was a little sun or something though. sorry.
