I was just saying that every court and legal scholar disagrees with you, even the staunchest conservative. Between, the legal community and you, I think they know more. Thats all.

Okay, so thats a small exageration. The vast majority disagree with you. There are plenty of people who hold the same opinion as you. And, thats a good thing. Our government needs that push and pull to keep itself in check.

your right bro, i tend to lump charector in with personality. my bad. so, all christians have the same charactor. and i did not try to imply your charactor dictates your employment, or than all a$$holes would be lawyers. my point was only that these two shared the same value's but where very much there own person's, same core belief's differant people.

I kinda skimed over this thread, did anybody mention Article VI, section 3 contains was is comonlly refered to as the religious test clause: "but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

The first amendment contains the establishment clause which has been mentioned.

having "false gods before me" sure isn't against the law in the US. 8 of the 10 commandments are not against the law in the US. The "flase gods" commandment would no doubt be a violation of the establishment clause if posted publicly by the government. Unless it was posted with other religions' laws, and even then this is problematic because where does it end.

I've never seen a court use a bible to swear in someone, well except on TV.
