also the increased drug abuse, STD's, and suicide rates. I would call that harm.

Back to the orginal topic. Gay lifestyle is a choice. Perhaps just perhaps they might be born that away. Who knows. But they must choose to act upon it.
      Well put!

There are people out there with the thoughts to commit child molestation, but if they never act on it they are not child molesters. Thinking something and doing something are two different things. Homosexuality is also a choice. The problem with it is some many people have made that choice that they have forced it upon society to accept it. That's not fair to me and my child. I don't want my child to think for a second that it's acceptable. The behavior, that is. I do my best not to judge the person (it doesn't always work but I try) because I have no idea of what brought them to that decision. Did their uncle molest them? I don't know. This subject (molestation) is very close to my heart. My biological father molested one of my cousins (female). The crazy part was when my uncle turned him in the family basically turned their back on him. I'm sorry but I side with my uncle. What my father did to that little girl was unacceptable. The story doesn't have a happy ending either. My father commited suicide as a result. I still side with my uncle.

Sure they are harming themselves and thier "partners" but so are drug addicts and I wouldn't equate an addict with a molester either.

And for the record, I'm a he not a she.
Yea, I think there is a difference between acts that harm oneself and acts that harm others. Child molestation involves an innocent defensless child who had no choice in the matter.

PL456,some of the the statements you say are untrue and unfair. To say all gays have a CHIP on they're shoulder is like saying all people that live in the south are rednecks, which is also not the case, so dont categorize a whole group like that , it is not right.Prejudice comes in many forms and if people cannot accept others being different from them, Im not saying molesters and rapists, then this world will never be in peace.God created ALL of us and he loves us all.I'm not trying to be rude to anyone, just wanted to voice my opinion. Thanks

And you have more medical and scientific documentation than Simon LeVay to prove this? Most educated medical studies prove it's not a choice, but maybe you've read some New England journals that I didn't see.

                veggirl....

If you will re-read, I say "by and large most"...I do not say "all".

Now, regarding "peace" in the world....This world is a fallen place. Their are bad people and good people. good and bad do not get along because of the bad. A "peaceful" world would only have good people in it. This will never happen, sorry. There will never be peace in this world, until Jesus returns (see Bible). That is all I have to say about that (reference Forrest Gump..LOL).

Obviously you did not read my thread. I said a study done by Emory University. This no doubt is also a medical university. So, I will trust that over some guy who dropped out of medical school after only one term. He has no formal medical education, he does have a PhD in Neuroanatomy that he got 33 years ago. Neuroanatomy is nothing more than the study of the brain and the central nevous system. It's not like he is a Neuorolgist and can treat or daignos things realating to those areas, he can just tell you where everything is and what it does. He has no formal education in medicine and only those with medical training study hormones. Emory's study was done while I still lived in Atlanta and it was within the past 6 to 7 years. Furthermore, there was a study done in the late 90's by the worlds best scientists that researched every gene in the human body and found out what it did. Guess what? They did not find and "gay" gene. They also did not find any genes that they could not diagnos. So, I will stick with the modern medical findings over one mans non-medical opinion.

Conscious, it's probably a desire that the inner mind just can't control or something like that? Most people in todays society can accept gay people for whom they are. Some can't and never will, "that's a pretty hard thing to change" It's kinda like aas, "not really understood"..........IM.
