Now your comming in a changing what we were discussing. And as far as your beliefs in the Truth. You could say the same about yours. Still stand my ground on my above statement. Doesn't matter if you agree or not, its just the way things are. I see you three have to agree with each other to confirm you posts, lol. Still doesn't change the fact that everone has the right to believe in what they want and yours (the bible) is not the only right choice.

Amen brother. Do you love the Lord? Yes. Then why argue about what is supposedly meant in the Bible. I already proved the Bible can have many different meanings than what one wants to see. The die hards say the Bible is very clear on homosexuality. I say the Bible is very clear on killing. If homos are going to hell, then military people, police officers, and anyone else who has killed for whatever reason are all going to hell. No one will want to admit that though. And even though I think it's Bull shit and in my heart, I don't think any soldier in Iraq is going to hell, it's clearly stated in the 10 commandments "thou shall not kill".

Not sure how you figure that I'm changing the discussion. Isn't this thread about gay marriage? Didn't you bring up the that others may have a different view point? You're right, everone does have the right to believe in whater they choose. I have the right to believe that trees are an illusion. Will that change what happens to me should I decide to run head strong into one? When you say that the Bible isn't the only right choice, I have to ask you how can there be more than one right choice? The Word of God is absolute. One may believe or not, that's their choice.

Exactly how have you proven that the Bible can have different meanings? People may try to disect Scripture to make their point but it must be taken as a whole. The Bible is very clear on killing innocents. The fifth commandment is literally: "Thou shalt not murder." One must distinguish between morally justifiable and morally unjustifiable killing. Killing in self-defense, or in defense of others, can be morally justifiable.

Re: upcoming vote on gay marriage

Using your analogy, Kite about the tree could be insult to anyone that has another belief than yours. So i really don't think you have respect for others beliefs and you will not make positive changes with these kinds of statements. Some ppl do not believe in the Bible, so your saying it is the only right choice, because theres only one choice. Tell this to someone that does not believe in your faith. We can go back and fourth on this forever, but itwill not change some ppls beliefs, just as your will not change. Anyway, as far gay marriage, like i said society will deem the outcome, just like with abortion. Sadly i don't think that our beliefs on the Bible or our moral views will change the outcome. Ultimately i believe gays will be allowed to get married. Maybe not this yr or the next, but sooner or later it will. All the statements i made above are not necessarly my views, but all ppl have differing opinions and the ones that don't believe in the Bible will think theirs is the right choice. I myself try not to push my views on others. It is better to be kind to one another, do what you can do to save the earth, water, air, animals, and doing things for one another than to preach and then have ppl shut down because they do not want to listen. If one does not believe it will help to follow in what actions can be spread not the words to which someone has no meaning.

You have a right to believe what you want but...Jesus is the only way. Man, that was hilarious about the tree!

Of couse I believe that it's the only right choice, if I didn't that would show a lack of faith wouldn't it? I do agree with you that eventually our culture which is increasingly permissive will leagalize pretty much everything. Does that mean I'll give up the fight? Nope. Just like I feel that there will always be terrorism in it's many forms but I believe that we should continue to do all that we can to fight it.

Re: upcoming vote on gay marriage

"If" you can use this faith to change and make an impact it will be a positive one. It is your right here in US to fight for what you believe, that is an action at least more than some will do. You do have to be open and more general in dealing with society in issues dealing with morality and beliefs, especially when you protest bills. Of course if one can get enough ppl and know ppl in high places it helps.

                      Book of Matthew:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
                      But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Sounds to me like the Lord is saying love the Iraqi's. Love Osama Bin Laden. Just pray for them. And if they wish to harm you, pray and good will come to you.
Now surely, if the Lord was standing in front of me, and I could ask him a question, I would really want clarification on this.

I think what the Lord is saying is that it is better to turn the other cheek to your enemy than to start a conflict just because someone has done something to you. Better to try to be friend than foe. It is my opinion that this is why we are at war now. The Iraq's never wanted us there even before this 9/11 or anything ever happened. We have bases around their borders and yet we still persist, with disreguard for what they believe and worship. How would we feel if our country was surrounded by another country?? Also how many ppl have we killed in Iraq and innocent civilians?? They will not tell us that, we only hear what they want us to. If we had turned the other cheek and stayed out of their country and borders, none of this would have happened. I have know ppl in Nam and several have told me horror stories about the strikes to innocet civilians and children murdered. Still we never heard much on this. All of our efforts on this country have been offensive not defensive. US is alway sticking their nose into other affairs and im actually suprised this did not happen sooner.

ok everyone, we all have our own religions and interpretations of the bible, what we need to do is pray for the people that do not believe in a higher being, and stop arguing already. God created all, God loves all! Amen.

AOM, your twisting of the scripture is amazing. I cant believe what Im reading. The twisting of the scripture interlaced with your frequent profane language really has me confused as to where you are in your walk in the faith. Do you claim to others to have been born again? Have you given your heart to Jesus? It seems to me you are really confused as to the basics of right and wrong. There is absolute right and wrong, it's black and white...there are no gray areas whatsoever in any issue in my mind.
