          AOM,

I never said anywhere I hated gay people. Don't know where you are getting it from anyways. If the majority vote on gay marriage then we have to accept it "Give to Ceaser what is Ceasers" and "live in the world not of the world" are 2 verses which come to mind. I am not going to get in any further, because obviously you don't want to. It seems to me that this thread is something that offends you. I personally don't agree with a gay union being called a marriage. I also want you to know I don't hate gay people, I don't agree with their lifestyle. As for your horrible lifestyle that buddy is between you and God. Just thought I'd add a little more to the fire.

Either way, Macka thinks he got me figured out. Not to mention his opinions are spread farther than Pam Anderson's legs, so it's hard to argue with an incoherant. I make about 20 valid, lucid points above, and all Macka can do is see what he wants, ignore the valid points I make, call me a poopy pants, and run the other way. Like my "horrible" lifestyle. Do you know me? Have you seen me before? Have we hung out? Or maybe you're the son of God and know exactly what I'm doing at all times, or your just some kid looking to start a stone throwing war. Which if I were you, I wouldn't bring a BB gun to a gun fight. Know what I mean?

Re: upcoming vote on gay marriage

                  1) in my mind, the sacred covenant of marriage is not trivial, and it should be defined as between 1 man and 1 woman, that are not related by blood.
                  2) the kkk is a racist, hate mongering group.
                  3) racism--look in a good dictionary, ill go with what they say.
                  4) there is no difference in those who hate. those people are just destroying themselves with hatred and injuring many many others along the way.

now, I am not judging a person, I am judging a behavior. the behavior is wrong. it is never right to judge a person, as God only knows what is written on their heart. but we can, as Christians, decide ("judge"--if you will) if a behavior is wrong, based on what the bible teaches us. Jesus said that if you see a brother doing wrong we should rebuke that person and try to witness to them and bring them back. If we do not try to present right and wrong to others, it is as if we do not love them. why do you teach your child right and wrong? because you love them. man, this is about caring for others, not hate. if you knew your buddy was going the wrong way to get somewhere, wouldnt you try to give him the right directions? also, there are no "howevers" in God's word. either the behavior is consistent with God's word or it is against God's word. Lets all relax a little here and have an adult conversation.
By the way, Louisiana passed the marriage definition amendment 85% to 15%--yay!
Lets all hope that a "tolerant" judge doesnt go against the wishes of 85% of our population.

Re: upcoming vote on gay marriage

again, Ive stated my opinion....I have my morals and I know what is right and wrong according to my beliefs. I do not wish to be tolerant of the homosexual lifestyle in terms of legislating it into legitimacy, teaching it in school, or exposing adoptive children to it because, as I stated, I believe the behavior is morally wrong and spritually and even physically destructive. I try and point people down the right track rather than "tolerating", or "looking the other way" when their behavior is destructive to themselves. If my friend was getting into drugs, Id say he was wrong. If my sister was driving the wrong way to get to the store, Id tell her. Note that I did not say I disliked my friend or sister, I was simply trying to help them by guiding them. This is what some call "judging"..but it isnt...its actually called "guiding". We are called to guide others when their behavior is inconsistent with God's teachings. right vs wrong. Thats all I have to say about this topic.

debate is not made by slamming. I guess you haven't learnt this. My opinion has not wavered, I still think its wrong. I said I would have to live it if people voted to accept it. Another thing bro, I never resorted to name calling. Have a nice day

Wonderful. And I respect your opinion. However, are you going to be the person who tells every current and ex military man that has killed an "enemy" that they're going to hell? I see it clearly now! Instead of thanking a Vietnam veteran, I should tell him he's going to hell. The woman I used to work with who's son was killed in Iraq, I shouldn't have tried to console her? Maybe I should have said "Wow, I hope he didn't kill anyone while he was there or he's in hell right now." All your many friends that you said were over in Iraq right now. Shouldn't you be calling their parents telling them "Next time you talk to your children, please tell them to put their weapons down and turn the other cheek to the Iraqi shooting at them with the AK-47. The Lord wants it that way."
Am I being a little sarcastic? Yea, maybe. And you know what PL, you're probably an OK guy. You and I could probably kick back, drink a beer, and shoot the shit for a few hours. But when someone has tunnel vision goggles on to see what they only want to see, that's damn annoying. So if I got snippy with anyone, or resulted to name calling, I apologize. I knew I should have stayed out of this room. I just finished my first prescription of blood pressure medicine, now I'm probably getting another one.

The word says to AVOID FOOLISH ARGUEMENTS. Not to say what you guys are saying is foolish, just that trying to prove the other wrong is. Walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of your flesh. It just seems that the lust of your flesh is arguing instead of keeping the peace. I like coming on this thread.
