Moving to Charlotte, NC....anyone from the board live there???
Moving to Charlotte, NC....anyone from the board live there???
I'm moving there for work tomorrow (spur of the moment kind of thing) and wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of city it is (big? small? nice? bad? etc...). I've never been so I don't really know what to expect.
I appreciate any comments!!!

I live about an hour and a half from charlotte and am there alot... The only thing about it - Rush hour traffic. It SUCKS!!! I would go to work early and stay late just to avoid it. I pass through charlotte about once a month on my way to charleston, and i always make sure to time my trip to avoid the morning, noon and evening rushes. Speaking of charleston... If you get a chance, head south on 77 to I 26 then head east. You'll end up in one of the most beautiful cities on the east coast - Seriously consider heading down if you get a chance. It kicks ass and is only about 3 hours from charlotte. PM me if you want more chucktown info.

Basically the jist of it is this.....
One of my best friends I worked with (we're dirty strippers)...moved to Chalotte with his GF and found a big club to strip at (no not a gay club) where he'smaking $500-800 a night on the weekends and about $200-$300 on weekdays. Since we're good friends, and I'm making shit money here in Michigan, he invited me to come live with he and his GF. So I figured I'd go live there for a while and save up a bunch of money (it'll be so nice not to be poor for a change). I'm so excited....I can't wait. I fly out tomorrow.
It's funny...my 25th birthday was last wednesday and I said to myself I needed a big change....and wouldn't you know it....he called the very next and here I am a week later leaving. Maybe there is a God afterall, lol.
Newgirl...I want details on the hubby and Vet school!!!!

Thanks for the tip! I think I'll plan on doing that. The Carolinas have some beautiful scenery and I don't want to miss out on it.

I live 3 hours from there -- don't have a lot I can tell ya about it. Good shopping, lol.... mostly been there for football games. Bigger than Raleigh but still a small city, Hope you enjoy it
