Well it was a 1999 GSXR1000 with a few mods. It was not my bike and we (my buddy had a 99'gsxr600) wound them completely out for a good maybe 2-3 miles.
I remember I kept shifting up a few times before i realized, Oh I am in top gear..
rev limiters do save engines 
of course it was pretty stupid and that is for the track nowadays.
So however fast a 99 GSXR1000 goes. I never looked down to see. maybe 178... -
My buddy has a suped-up viper and he had that ***** up to 185 out in the desert. Fuckers wig was flying off.Comment

Both tach. & mph needles are snapped on the bike and 140 in the vette. I baby both, trying to keep the valve train going for a looong time. Maintenance is just way too expensive.Comment

Burried the speedo on a kal, kzr1100, out ran 5 state troopers, took off through the country after I lost em to my sisters house, put the bike in my sitsters shed, that thing was pinging & popping when I shut it off. I was shaking like a leaf. Left it there for a month & traded it off. Another guy had one just like it, but he was a puss. Every time he got his out after I did that he got pulled over They knew it was me but couldn't proove it. 20 years ago, ahh thanks for the memories. At least I didn't buy aluminium siding.
