I did all mine in IL also. Everything you said is so true.

I would love to do a little rant on IL justice but I'm quite sure its mostly the same everywhere.

My son is now 16 and spite his mother is doing quite well.

My son averaged over 30 days a year absent from school(almost never from illness). A labeled gifted student who was barely passing. He was involved most years in wrestling,soccer,baseball,football,cub&boy scouts and from 7yrs old to now I do not believe his mother every took him to a game or pratice.(dad did)
Admitted crack user. Several arrests,ect.
My record was spotless and I did not stand a chance of custody.
So on and so on and so on.

OK--maybe a little rant

Bros its a part of life that I let eat me alive at one point. Now I let it roll right off me(finally).

Remember...It'll all be alright when the mother ship gets here.

And Extranero, Friggemall, DOUBLE J didn't mean to open any old wounds here, this is all very new to me.

Mostly, I find it hard that after giving it my all for 27 years, I have to start all over again, and that because I waited for a bit longer to have kids, I'm not free and clear until 58 years old (48 very soon).

So thanks again, very much appreciated for all the encouragement.

My lawyer asked me yesterday after she stepped out the door

But the only thing that would change is she has to sell the house.

Makes as much as I do so I don't pay alimony, just child support.

Man, I can really feel some of you guys. In Indiana there is no alimony - so I am responsible for child support of 524 a month. But my daughter wants to see me as often as my ex - which is not ever. LOL.
