I posted this earlier, but Gearedup was the type of guy who would do anything for you. He took the time to answer questions whether they were dumb or not, he took the time to help people he barely knew. Maybe if all of us were just alittle more like Geared, this world would be a better place. I'm so sorry...my sincerest sympathies go to his friends and family. You will be missed like you won't believe brother.......

While I agree -- we need to take this sentiment ONE step further. Fitness and AAS are NO different. It is an addiction. It is a quest for perfection. We all strive to get bigger, leaner, harder, better. We do it for strength, we do it for vanity, we do it for careers....but what we do is no different. We are feeding the addiction each and every day.

Usually those addicted to one thing are cross addicted elsewhere. And one transfers an addictive behavior to yet another when they move on from one. Let this be a wake up call to ALL of us involved in fitness and the lifestyle we are here to discuss. Gearedup and BigJim were two of THE classiest of board guys. They were generous with their time and their spirit and their knowledge. Their efforts were tireless...but somewhere they were feeling a void -- and out of filling that hole an addiction arises.....it is no different than the game we all play.

Let us all think about what we do and how to be safe and wise doing it. Don't push the edge of the envelope. Be safe and be smart. While the media projects the image that aas is deadly -- and while we all know how to be safe -- we cannot kid ourselves that what we do is all that healthy -- it is not. Know when to say "when".

Be safe my boys...all of you. Take care of your bodies but also your souls. Learn to achieve inner peace from the inside out -- not only from achieving the body that you desire -- but from the soul within.
