Im only into a few rapper, 2pac, Dmx, and ja rule, they are the only rappers I listen to (maybe 50 cent also). Because a lot of the songs from other rappers (ludicrise, and so) dont make sense at all. I have to agree with some of the other poster, in which I dont understand how some people look up at some of the rappers, most are fake anyway. Nelly is a sellout, I read somewhere that Ludicrese had money never really poor, and Emimem angers me because he is always trying to act tough when he talks in public, when we all know he could easily get his ass kicked if he wasnt a rich singer.

Yeah I hate all the new stuff out right now ! Old school is more originaaaal ! I probably say 50 cent is the best new rapper right now but u can only listen to so much rap . I like more hip hop like Black Eyed Peas , Jurrassic 5 , Tribe Called Quest , ect.

I guess if rap rewards or promotes ignorance Marlin Manson was the cause of the Columbine shooting, because we all know what Rock (devil music) does I like Rap music but I agree some of the shit thats out there is prety weak, you just have to sort through a lot of crap that MTV pushes down your throat and listen to the real street poets NAS, 2 Pac, DMX, Biggie, Black eyed peas ect.

I don't think Manson's "work" is appropriate either. The topic at hand was Rap so that's what the discussion consisted of.

You make a valid point, and I can see how a person who favored rap would look at this thread as a bashing discussion with a bias or slighted view as other forms of music were not criticized.

Rap music is entertainment. It started as comedy in the form of music and is mostly still that way. Even songs that speak of getting *****es or having money are comedy, and are ridiculing the whole industry. Most of these guys are brilliant in the way they portray these comedic performances in their music.

This goes on more than people realize. Look at the Man Show, it ridicules men and the way they act , yet there are still some tools who watch it and think it's cool while they are the ones being made fun of! I personally love the show!

The Big Tymers have several hits, the are the grandest example of what I'm talking about. They say things like " I just bout a platinum football field" or "platinum Hummer" everyone knows they can't buy things like that, but it's fuckin hilairious to hear the words they put together in a song.

Sometimes people forget what we're founded on, it's the same thing that lets people voice their opinion of what's appropriate, but for fuck sake some of us like shit that others deem inappropriate! I like being socially unacceptable, rude, and sometimes crude, that's what makes life fun to live for me. If someone gets off on proclaiming that rap is inappropriate, I certainly respect that, because that's what "gets you off', so it makes me happy that you can do what makes you happy, and I can too! That's why this life is not a bad as some people make it out to be, because we can be totally different, and still be cool with one another!

Hip Hop is my style....definitely. I use to be a rocker back in the day but cmon'..... 2pac, Biggie, 50, the roots, nas, jayz, wu, em. We got our share of ass rappers (ie pdiddy, all of No Limit rappers) but i got love for hiphop
