It happened too fast for people to clear the highway. Many areas had a lot of cars where they parked to stay out of the water, but it kept rising. My home was under water for about 3 or 4 days I believe. I was on the road when the storm hit and had a hell of a time trying to make out the lanes and not hydroplane. Went across a bridge to stay at a friends house who was with me and within 5 min. the water was over the bridge. Were I got stranded the water came up about 6" every hour if not faster. It was about 4 feet at the crest of the street at the area I was stuck in.

What sucked is it rained for a damn week or so almost non stop if I remember.

Just to show how many cars were under the water in a given area.

Thats some crazy shit, Keiser!! We got really nailed by Bill yesterday here in this area. We were on the east side right near the eye, which is the worst side to be on. We have trees down on houses all over the place and we just got our electricity back on after 26 hours.

Don't buy a used car in texas anytime soon. You know they're going to try to sell some of those puppies.

Damn, I remember calling in saying I can't make it to work when that happened. My work was way out on Jensen Drive for all you Houston folk. And I live off of N. Shepherd. So I would have to go towards Hardy Toll Road and Crosstimbers. So I guessed that area where it slopes down right there would be underwater. And wouldn't you know it, I was right.
RIP Gearedup and Marc. I'll see you at the crossroads someday guys
