edvedr: Your post brings up another thought of mine.

This whole "you'll go to hell" thing....But not if you become religious and ask god for his forgiveness.

So if I do something wrong and feel like crap about it.. I'll go to hell.

But if I do something wrong, have no remourse..but ask god for his forgiveness. I'll go to heaven.

What's up with that? Obviously the person who feels bad about what they've done is the better person. Yet... it's that person who ends up going to hell.
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

you share my frustration, and thats why i don't have an open mind about religion. I do about GOD, but organized religion is crap (in my opinion, not trying to offend anyone). i have had a priest tell me that he would not let me make my confirmation unless he started seeing my name on collection envelopes, cause thats the only way he could monitor my attendance.

I feel the same way as you Got Gear. I used to be a pretty strong Christian, but as I grew older and researched things, I noticed a lot of the bible just didn't make sense to me.

I do believe in some higher power though.....like people here have said....it's just too coincidental that all this just happened.

Well, we'll just have to keep that one on the "Down-low" then hey? (That movie was damn funny!)

The bible and religon is all a personal thing. People can find the devil and god anywhere and everywhere. I was raised catholic but when i grew up and learned more of my heritage i went back to basics and the Sioux religon. All religons are similar they all say be good to one another help your fellow man and all that. I guess some people just need to believe its a higher power telling them to be good to others rather than just using common sence.
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog...

WTF....that is hardly a comparison!! It's called estimation and learning skills. It's the same as typing. Once your mind knows where the keys are, you no longer have to look at them when you type. A very logical explanation~definately no miracle here.
