I was thinking this the other day.

It is inherent in humanity to act agressive to survive. that old survival instinct. Which thus leads us to "fighting" in general, nature, others, etc.

Almsot all religion has some type of "figurehead" like the devil.
And almost all the time when they speak of the devil, it is with fighting terms. blah, blah, blah, "fight the devil....throw him down...spate him from the body etc."

In my humble little world their is no devil. I take the view like Tinfish, there are too many amazing things in the world everyday that reaffirm my believe in the good and greatness of the world.

Human nature's tendency is to control things, which leads to fighting, which leads to some imaginary figures like the devil.

One thing this nation has never really seen, reason being is we are too young of a nation, involved in building building building a country and history. Is a Renasaince (sp) of Philosophy.

If you ever studied Philosophy many many have written many thoughts on such subjects, mostly from countries with long long histories.

In general life is okay and all good. And the best we can do is to get busy today enjoying it. Quit trying to control all life, can't be done. And gosh darn it, enjoy enjoy enjoy, for who knows what tommorow brings. And if there are mysteries out there, and we would one day have the chance to sit down with them and talk they would most likely say, "we sent you down there to party and enjoy life, where you got the notion to make things so complicated we will never know. Of course up here it's been fun watching."

    Or something to that effect.

In Summary...both Clapton & Auriflex are God.

      Gotcha..

Unfortunately, I'm very scientific minded. I'm always trying to figure out how something works. Or why something was done..

I'm one of those guys who spends an entire magic show trying to figure out which optical illusions the magician is using...

I feel very much like Cory.. but at the same time think "Just happened by chance? That's kinda lucky..."

The birth of a child occurs simply by a series of proven biological processes.

Although I am Catholic, I don't buy into the whole bible/Jesus/devil thing. IMHO, I believe that man's struggle to comprehend things which do not have a rational explianation in terms of his physical and mental capabilities leads him to label or "fill in the gaps" of the things which he can not understand.

By creating a god or devil, he has rationalized and made whole in his mind something which he can not explain.

The comfort one enjoys by having a god or devil as opposed to trying to figure out why there are black holes or why people like
****** exist frees them from spending time of having to prove why and allows us to create and explore our world more fully.

Biological events are random series of complex acts that perpetuate themselves based on positive feedback.

Humanities soul is filled with INTENTION.

Could be wrong, yet, think that is the difference maker.

And your own personal intention will lead you to whatever you shall make of life.

Just as an addendum to my post, I do believe in something, whether it be a God, devil or whatever. What I do not believe in is another person telling me I must live my life a certain way. I am in agreement with teekahty that organized religion has done more harm than good in this regard.

Bro you can't blame God for that,as individuals we and we alone are responsible for our own actions not God,when we kill someone it is not God that does it,it is us that does it not him,to blame the higher power for our own faults and actions is saying that we can't take responsibility for our own doings,we as a society always blame others for our own faults and we as a society need to stop blaming others and start taking responsibilites for ourselves. It is so easy to blame God for the problems of today, that is because we are afraid to admit that it is our own fault for the problems we have and we need to stop and think about ourselves, what our lives mean and stop blaming crap on others, whether it be God or someone else.

And yes I do believe in God.
