Got a question for my everyone. I has a small accident the other day, a guy pulled in front of me and stopped short. He told police I hit him cause of inattention. I had a dashcam of the whole accident. QUESTION Should I press charges for purgery? My whole body is saying YES since he lied to try to get money from me and ruin my driving record.
You cannot press charges for perjury. It is civil and not criminal. Now you can petition the officer to file a citation for some statute under "obstruction". You may sue for perjury though if you wish. Probably in small claims court.

Hmmm a lot depends on who got the ticket. Did you hit him from the rear? If so, you probably got cited for following too close. If he got the ticket and he caused the accident, then you could get a personal injury attorney(not the TV /billboard kind) and sue his insurance company for a bodily injury. If you got the ticket, then you will have to fight it in traffic court. But unless you can prove that he caused the accident, you might not have a leg to stand on. Unfortunately, if you got the ticket, this dude can say he is injured, then your insurance company is liable for payment. Good luck.
I'm not an expert here, but like Dzone said I think a lot will come down to who got cited for the accident. Typically it's the person who hit from behind, but if you got it on dashcam and can show he was negligent in some way then you might be able to push back.
