  • my journey

Growing up on a farm made me stout to begin with. Fast forward to college. I got a degree in Exercise Physiology and was in great shape dispite all the partying I did.
Fast forward Ito a few years ago. My body started to rebell that is the best term I can come up with. First my goiter started acting up I ended up in the hospital for more than 20 days with Afib and pneumonia. Before I got out my heart took a pause of 38 seconds to reset itself. My HR was off the charts but they said it was more than 170BPM. I was hot and ate meals for 2 people and still lost 20# or more.

Tear before last I got a triple fusion the pain was so great I could not walk. 1 year of rehab and now I am OK.

I have been working out with 185# (yeah I know it is not much for bench press). 2 guys were at the power rack next to mine, they were doing bench of 225#. Not knowing if I could do that much I asked them to spot me I said do not make it easy on me but don't let it get me down. I did 7 without anyone touching the bar.
I reracked the weights. Everyone in that part of the gym was watching me. 1 guy squeezed my biceps and many oth3ers gave me a fist bump. What an ego lift that was.

Nice man, 225 is no joke if you have not been working up to it. Keep up the good work and I hope you have smooth sailing from here out.
