Ill go first.

She thinks I stole , took, our son away, because she was going through a hard time , and from what she saids " vulnerable ". What she neglects to tell people is that shew lost her house, not once but twice, one in which i WAS HELPING HER PAY HER RENT , WHEN i SHOULDNT HAVE. She took a whole bottle of Aspirin, ended up in the hospital, my son was at my house at like 10 at nite all of a sudden. She walked out of court when they were gonna rule on the case after idk how many years of fighting for my son. She never returned to court, so they ruled in my favor, even tho it was headed that way becasue of her issues.
She also forgets to tell people that she was homeless and I actually let her sleep on my couch many times, do her laundry at my crib, eat at my crib, come to my crib when I was at work and my mom would watch my son, iron her clothes at my house, and one day she stops by and because i DIDNT WANT TO TALK SHE BREAKS MY WINDOW and never paid for it!!!
If I never stepped in when I did the state would have my son and that wasnt happeneing.

So all in all Im the asshole dad that " took " our son away from his mother.
I think if you were to ask my son he would say that he is happy hes with daddy , but yes he loves mommy too, and im good with that .

you are my hero T no matter what. My baby mama story isn't much better. BUT every father/mother/child separation i hear about sounds like a fairy tale where everyone gets along and speaks highly of one another, or so it seems. is this true for anyone ???

i know i am fuckin *****in fuck you for noticing. dude tablets are awesome and I love my son and his skill. My boy helps ME out with puzzles on the PS4 but fuck dude, can ya look up and so we can go to the fuckin zoo or some shit.

Do you realize when he gets into his gaming i get into mine? its fuckin awesome but at the same time.....zoo's are awesome

well I don't have any kids of my own never wanted any.. the ex-wife and I never had any.. my current wife had 3 kids.. so I knew if I wanted to be with her I had to be with them also.. I guess you would call it a good thing the dad has nothing to do with them at all and I mean nothing.. which I don't get or understand but to each there own.. he owes my wife I bet over a 100k in back child support.. I don't know how you have kids and just forget about them.. hell I bought my wife's son his first bike when we first started dating..

its hard to split up with kids in the mix at the end of the day I just wish both parties would think about the little life that is effected by there actions and not use the kid or kids as pawns. I see this all to much.. be happy with your new life let her be happy with her new life and take care of the kids..

I agree I am raising a man.. my wifes son was 8 years old with I got with her when he was 15 I made him get a job. when he was 16 I made him get his drivers license. after he turned 16 he had money saved and we went and got him a car he pays for. he has always paid for his own cell phone pays for his own car insurance. my job is to raise a man who can take care of himself and take care of his family when he has one..

It's a dilemma for us , I'm telling you bros.
And not all dads are the greatest, never said that but every now and then you get a few Last Of The Mohican Fathers that actually give a fuck , but because it's not the " Norm " for a dad to have custody , some of us get persecuted without people knowing all the facts .

I agree the sorry asses ruined it for the others.. don't get me wrong there are a lot of great dads out there who have to fight a uphill battle because of there sex.. total not fair for the mother to automatically get the kid and the father has no say and he loses his kid.. it is truly a messed up system and I don't know how you can make it fair.. to me the most important thing is the kid.. I have seen a lot of women use the kid as pawns and use the kids to get back at the father because they have no other way. you made me mad so now I am nothing going to take jr to baseball practice so I will show you who does thata hurt???????/ it hurt jr that's who..

My son Jr is most definitely better off in the custody of his mother. I get him when ever is convenient for me. I am writing the bills right now, and chid support is so much of it, more than half, but fuck he is better off with that cvnt than me and that is worth every fuckin cent AND I CAN FUCKIN ADMIT IT.

Unfortunately stories have to be told by witnesses when some alpha wanna be wants to get in the way of my boy. I hurted them. But when I was a step father I hurt the father. It's heavy guilt. I did all I can. I gave him his child when it was over. Now is my son's time...right?

Probably shouldn't be in this thread since I am not a father, but... I feel it comes from both sides. We question weather the other parent thinks we are a good father, or mother. The bottom line is that "we" as that person feel good about who we are as their parent. When we start comparing each other, it becomes about us and not our child anymore. The good parent bad parent thing is the same as black and white thinking. Sounds like you spend good time with your son and that is important.

As far as the fairytale after separation, I have seen that to with any couples. I imagine it took time to get to that place?

I reckon she likes me OK as she is still with me after 27 years and 20 years of parenthood. I am many things some good some bad but i know I am a pretty damn good dad.
