What do you think about declawing a house cat or ear cropping / tail docking a dog?

Absolutely 100% against cutting ears and tails off dogs. Declawing a cat maybe as long as the cat is going to be an inside cat and never has to defend itself against a predator.
As for docking a tail-I read about that and a dogs tail is important for balance, coordination, movement, proprioception, etc...Dogs need their tail. Also, there is no need whatsoever to crop a dogs ears. NEVER. -

I always wondered about certain dog breeds getting their tails docked. Just curious where that even started? We have two boxers and they had their tails docked when they were puppies before we got them. Like, who decided which breeds get their tails docked and which breeds don't? Just leave dogs the way God intended..........although cats can be destructive and I say take out their front claws. And of course spay or neuter your critters."SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

No, no and no. I have to admit , when we got our cat 17 years ago, we had her set up to declaw. Never having a cat before, I started researching and after that. I said no way, uh uh. I told Fuzo about it and he said no problem, I will just clip her claws on a regular basis. Doing these things can mess with their animal mind and it just seems cruel to me. It is hard to even find a place around us that will do it. I don't go around telling people what to do, I just tell them to read about it before making a decisionVeritas Vos LiberabitComment

my pit has her adorable ear flaps and long tail. all natural and gorgeous as she was meant to be. only dad soes the body "modification" in this house lolYou may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.
