  • New Years Day leg workout!!!

    This just happened, Mountain Dog leg day, via Elitefts/Mark Dugdale

    Seated Leg Curls

    Set 1 x 10 reps with 50lbs (warm-up)
    Set 2 x 10 reps with 60lbs (warm-up)
    Set 3 x 10 reps with 70lbs (warm-up)
    Sets 4 thru 6 x 10 reps with 80lbs
    Set 7 x 10 reps with 80lbs -> drop to 60lbs x 6 reps + 20 partials

    Leg Press

    Set 1 x 10 reps with 3 plates/side
    Set 2 x 10 reps with 4 plates/side
    Set 3 x 10 reps with 5 plates/side
    Set 4 x 10 reps with 6 plates/side
    Set 5 x 10 reps with 7 plates/side
    Set 6 x 10 reps with 8 plates/side
    Set 7 x 10 reps with 9 plates/side
    Set 8 x 10 reps with 10 plates/side

    Bulgarian Split Squats

    Set 1 x 10 reps with 20lbs
    Set 2 x 10reps with 30lbs
    Set 3 x 10 reps with 40lbs
    Then triple drop set
    40lbs x 10, 30lbs x10 20lbs x 10

    Reverse Banded Hack Squats

    I hooked up anelitefts™ Pro Strong Resistance Band to the hack squat machine.

    Set 1 x 15 reps with 1 plate/side (warm-up)
    Set 2 x 15 reps with 2 plates/side
    Set 3 x 15 reps with 3 plates/side
    Set 4 x 15 reps with 4 plates/side

    Barbell Stiff Legged Deadlifts

    Set 1 x 10 reps with 95lbs
    Set 2 x 10 reps with 145lbs
    Set 3 x 10 reps with 195lbs

    Smith machine calf raises
    Set 1 AMRAP( till it hurt)
    Set 2 samething
    Set 3 same
    Set4,5,6 occluded amrap

    Boom! Thats how you start off the new year!!

      yeah buddy. i have done this one myself a few times. this is a hell of a way to start off the new year and is not for the faint at heart

      did you add in the 10 sec iso holds during the drops? haha
