Just curious, I was thinking about this last night. Does posing help with the way a muscle can look? I know it's purposes for shows and holding it for periods of time, but I guess I'm trying to ask is it worth doing on the side to enhance the way you look?
I don't do it, but many friends that routinely take classes and do it themselves. It's good exercise and squeezes water out between muscle if you are lean enough.
I have a couple friends that teach it also. Not for me...but! Lol!
it helps to add hardens and shape to the muscle. most people will find that it will help them make that mind muscle connection while training also. it is actually pretty tough to do if you are doing it right. think of it this way: you are tensing/flexing all the muscles in your body at one time for x amount of time. it is harder than it looks and has benefits
Do any of you guys have a link to a good read or good video with just the basic of this? I know I need to work on some flexibility for some poses, but I'm wanting to give it a shot actually...

bro you can google them all but the best ones to watch are the pros doing it. now with that said and i dont know if you are trying to show or not but what i have found is you learn the basics from what others do and then adapt it to your specific strenghts and hide your weaknesses. that's what we do
Every little trick for when it comes to posing involves internal flexion, squeezing in or out. Pushing arms towards the torso or away from...depending on what you may be trying to hit.
Holding a pose for 1 minute at the time is real tough work.
Whenever I start to pose for a show 10 weeks out, I always very sore for a ferw days the first couple of times.
Plus its fun seeing what you have been sculpting for weeks.
