Have you ever seen a natural contest? MOst guys look like they dont even lift, so If you do, then just train and diet fairly well and you have a good chance of placing if you look better than the average Joe

Well, I have looked at some pics on the internet of the physique class, but I haven't been to a natural contest? I did see in some of the pics of this class that it looked like some of the guys came straight from the house. No 6 packs, no great muscle tone.....just not fat. I was like WTF! Surely I can do that.

Straight off the couch to the stage...LOL...I saw the pics from a contest this weekend and I saw the board shorts class. The guy with the most muscular and defined physique did not win. He got second. He didnt win because he was too muscular. So they do count against you if you look too much like a bodybuilder

I have competed severeal times, my lat time was last November...I simply love to push my own limitations.
I placed 2nd in the Open classic and placed a horrible 5th in the light heavies (190--4%bf)

Sometimes the judges have a hard job.

Yeah, my buddy finished 9th out of 12. He is probably 8%, 8 pack, obliques, veins, etc. Just naturally lean with great muscle tone. They told him he was too lean for the class. They told him he looked like he came straight from the gym. They want people that look like they come straight from the ocean....surfer type
