Hey Peeps,
Just looking for opinions...my main goal is to get down to around 180 lbs. Right now I'm at 217, started at 240. Back in October I got my diet straight, and have done most of the weight loss just through dieting. About a month and a half ago I started lifting with a buddy of mine who is a trainer, and I also joined a gym by where I work so I can run over during my down time and do cardio. Anywho, here is my question: I think I might be asking too much by doing the lifting and the cardio...I'd love to be a big hulking figure, but I realize the muscle will be a moot point if it's buried under fat. So, am I wasting my time lifting for now, and should I try and devote that time more towards cardio?
Thanks,
-BG

], and when I eat "real" meals I do baked chicken, steak, pork, roast beef, etc. Plain baked potatoes, green beans, green salads w/ balsamic ving, no cake, sweets, booze, fast food, etc. I look to put down 1500-2000 cals a day. Trying to do around 300g of Protein, am "playing" with carbs, as I'm kinda scared of 'em. lol Only "vice" is a couple of diet sodas daily. I try and drink a ton of water, but sometimes fall short during my home time.
