Have searched and searched and cannot find a chest routine for someone with tendonitis in their elbows..
I can handle all the flyes in the world and love to go heavy with them.. It is the presses that is the problem. I just cannot go heavy anymore because of the tendonitis (even with sleeves on) and my chest just SHRANK.. I mean ANY type of presses.
Do you guys think that sticking with higher reps and lower weight with the presses and still going as heavy as I can with the flyes will work? So far it is not doing jack..
I need to switch it up.. This is how a typical chest day goes.
Flat DB press (after warm ups) 4 sets of 8 to 10.
Flyes (flat or incline) 4 sets of 10 to 12
Incline press (DB or bar) 4 sets of 8 to 10
Crossovers 4 sets of 10 to 12
Last week I pre-exhaused with crossovers BEFORE the presses....since I know I cannot go heavy with the presses anyway. Felt good when I finished.
Any thoughts? I have been to doc after doc and they all just give me anti-inflammatories and tell me to quit going to the gym. And that ain't gonna happen. Sucks to get old.
