I have humalog which says 100 U/ml - 3ML. I have disposable needles which say 100 IU/ 1ml
I wanted to go to 6 IU twice daily as recommended by a book. So I thought each mark was an IU. I started at 2 drew to the 2nd marked. After 2 days I noticed that there where actually only 5 marks before reaching no 10. Since the readings are so small, how do you measure one IU.
Also, I'm current at mark 10 and don't feel a thing. this morning I even drew to mark 10 (which I find so very little) and didn't eat at all. I'm a few hours later now and still don't feel dizzy or anything.
Am I using this needles correctly? So where the black stopper is on the pic, that's 10 IU and thus a normal dose?
