  • POST Workout Question.......?

    I was gonna post this on the DIET board but figured since Im on Prop, EQ, winny, T3, and ECA that I would post it here. As of right now I am currently 215 and a little under 9% BF and still trying to get lower over the next 5 weeks until pics. Heres the ? I love DETOUR bars and some other bars, but I have cut out all snacks like this. I am starting to go crazy though, I havent had a cheat meal or even a cheat bite in over 7 weeks. I am wondering if i could sneak something like a detour bar in post workout. Right now my post workout is 75g dextrose and 75g Isopure protein. I have also been wondering if maybe something like a handful of skittles would negatively affect my diet.

    Im in a very critical time in my cutting diet and wouldnt want to screw up now with only 5 weeks left.

    are you dieting to diet or for a show? cause if its for a show, dont do it. If you dont win you will look back at every little thing you did wrong like a handful of skittles. If you are doing it just to lose fat. Once wont hurt. Just make sure it stops there. Or maybe have that handful of skittles after the workout and cut back on the dextrose.

        I totally agree, but they do taste pretty good, and over all they are better then having a regular candy bar. I was just thinking that it might not hurt me if I throw say 1 detour bar in post workout since most of it should be used up fast anyway. I would think that it would be mainly just extra calories and the sugars and protein would help out with PW.

          hes right it all depends on if its for a show or not in my opinion sometimes a cheat meal can actually help u but if u were to lose u would just know it was because of that, honestly when im dieting i try to have a cheat meal atleast every 2 weeks it keeps u sane and it can actually spped up ur mtabolism

            I guess what im trying to get at is if I have a sweet tooth that I cat get rid of, would if have more of a negative effect on my diet if it was included in my post workout shake?

                *** You'll be fine. Just subtract the amount of dextrose from your post workout mix so the skittles fit in your post workout mix.

                  bro....if your starting to go nuts over a great tasting PROTEIN bar than have one..christ have 2....after that you'll have the mind frame to go another "cheatless" 7 weeks.....if you don't have a cheat when you really need it slowly but surely you'll get sloppy w/ your diet......i havent cheated in the last 6 weeks but when it gets too much ill treat myself...no biggie
