    I ran 600 Test-cyp and 400 Deca (split into two E3.5D injections) for 12 weeks while on a clean bulk (which just ended a few days ago). I gained 23 pounds but only 1% body fat, which (more or less) means I gained 6 pounds of fat and 17 pounds of muscle. My muscles did not grow in size very much at all, but I feel "denser" if that makes any sense. I also gained quite a bit of strength. I liked the Test / Deca mix. The Deca is also a bit thinner than the Test-cyp, so it made it easier to push through the needle.

        My trainer did all the math, but I did it as well to verify I understood everything (and I do). Here is what he uses:

        370 + (21.6 x 107.5) = 2692 BMR (this is high for the average person, im a big guy)

        BMR formula #2 (only to be used if your bf is low)
        Men: BMR = 66 + ( 6.23 x weight in pounds ) + ( 12.7 x height in inches ) - ( 6.8 x age in year )
        female BMR = 655 + ( 4.35 x weight in pounds ) + ( 4.7 x height in inches ) - ( 4.7 x age in years )


        TDEE

        Once u have you bmr, u need to calculate your TDEE, this is simply done with some multiplication...

        you can multiply it by an activity number to figure out your daily caloric expenditure, be honest here as this is the very cornerstone of your diet, if you are between two of the below activity levels then just multiply by a number in between them

        To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows:

        If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2
        If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375
        If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55
        If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725
        If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9

        I should also give you an idea of what dieting should look like... you need to make sure every last calorie you take in isn't an empty calorie... every time you eat you should be eating with a purpose which is to fuel your body for growth and fat loss (predicated on your goals)...

        Good meats/protien to eat..

        Chicken Breast
        Turkey Breast
        Eggs/Egg Whites
        Bison/Deer Meat
        93% and up lean beef (ground beef, roast beef, london broil are just a few examples)
        Fish (tuna, salmon, talipa etc..)
        Whey (PWO ONLY)
        Casien (BEDTIME ONLY)

        Good Complex Carbs

        Oats (not that instant crap, all natural steel cut/rolled oats)
        Sweet potatos
        Yams
        Wheat Bread (no, not the enriched type)
        Ezekiel Bread
        Glutin Free Bread

        Good Essential Fatty Acids


        Almonds
        Avocado (my fav)
        Cashews
        EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
        Fish Oil

        So, given all that, I needed 3000 cals per day to start with. As my body weight increased, I kept tabs on my body fat percentage and redid the calculations. Turns out that at week 7 (I think) I needed to increase my calories to 3200 a day. Week 9, upped it to 3400 a day. Week 11, upped it to 3600 calories a day and stayed there for week 12 as well, at which point my bulking cycle ended. That was just last week. I am now in a "soaking" month - where I allow my body to adjust to the new me and make it what it wants to try to stay at (the body loves homeostasis and tries to prevent change). If I would have immediately went into a cut I could lose a lot more muscle than I want.

          Oh, a few other things. I also worked VERY hard in the gym the entire time. You can only get out what you put in, so I ensured I put in a lot of sweat and tears. Gyms convert sweat and tears into muscle, so that is what I got back.
          I also had some genetic testing done (I already have my genetics on file with a lab for other reasons), so I had my Muscle Endurance checked. I have the same genetic markers as 95% of the top athletes - which basically means I get a lot of results from less work than the average person gets. IOW, your results might not match my results.

            I would Love to run deca but it just hits me hard in the wood area.But back in the day when I did use it and ate very clean I did get great results and I took 40-600mg of deca

                      Yeah cruising on 300 test & 150 NPP at moment too, still hell of lean and vascular from competitions and up 15lbs from stage weight, so very happy. Have not had any issues with erections, if fact they are better. Giving body a break and found even test/NPP 2:1 ration is perfect!!! Deca did not do well with me but NPP is a different beast...so that is my choice.

                        Like guns said I prefer npp over deca.... I will be using mostly deca this winter simply because I have a bunch and figure it'll be a good change over last winter and I want to use it up lol. Anyway I have ran npp as low as 150- 200 week while cruising and seen strength and mild size gains so I would say 500 test and 250 deca along with a awesome diet for at least 16- 20 wk will get you close to the gains you want. Just my perspective.

                            I think a couple guys already touched on this but imo 30 weeks is way to long to run any cycle. I can't even be comfortable suggesting 20 but 16-20 weeks would be my highest recommendation for gains vs health risks. 250 is a butb ow for gains for sure but 400 works great for me. I run 400 Deca 650 test and an AI but I keep caber on hand just in case my libido suffers. It's really your personally tolerance to deca that will determine your sex drives response and raising your test levels won't help with prolactin build up causing ED but caber will if it becomes an issue. 400decs 600-700 test and an AI you will make pretty decent gains but likely not 30lbs thdtcyou keep post cycle with just test and Deca.

                                since we are on the subject has anyone tried flipping the recommendations to high nandrolone and moderate/low test?

                                i know when i first started out this was a big nono, but i think it all comes down to how you respond to the compounds as well as experience. for me personally i dont (knock on wood) get deca dick, so i have ran short esters with high npp and low test, and found it to be great. i also included on the daily cialis in my pre-wo. im no scientist but i do believe in receptors only utilizing x amount in our bodies, so the theory is to allow more usage of the nandrolone over test.

                                im interested to hear what others thought are on this outside of the typical bro science.
